day 6 Transfer to Pic Néoulous and walk down to Banyuls sur Mer along the Albères, from the Pic Sailfort to the Cap Béar (8 hours or shorter option, 5 hours).

day 7 The trip ends this morning in Banyuls sur Mer.

On this exceptional self guided walk through the Pyrenees, you will begin with your head in the clouds in the Costabonne Mountains and finish with your feet in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea on the Côte Vermeille. Each day you’ll embark on stunning walks through diverse landscapes of lush green valleys, wild chestnut woods and beech-groves to the hillside vineyards of the Albères foothills. You’ll hike amidst spectacular mountain vistas along rugged mountain crags and descend into ancient villages; each with their own charm, from Prats de Mollo with it’s dominating hilltop fort, the cherry town of Céret, once a magnet for artists like Picasso, Chagall and Matisse, to the old Roman spa town of Amelie les Bain and finally the seaside village of Banyuls sur Mer. Pedal your way through the spectacular vineyards and perched villages of Provence

This self-guided cycling adventure explores some of the most enchanting countryside in Provence. You will ride along fields of vibrant colour and through hidden hilltop villages with plenty of opportunity to stop and enjoy the cultural and gastronomic delights of the region. Beginning in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the ‘Little Venice’ of Provence, you’ll cycle towards the foothills of Mont Ventoux, known as the ‘giant of Provence’ and famous for its role in the Tour de France. The base of Ventoux is dotted with some of the most picturesque villages in Provence; Venasque and Crillon le Brave to name a few. With the imposing silhouette of Mont Ventoux at your side, you’ll pedal your way through world renowned vineyards and wine-making towns before reaching the Roman capital of France, Vaison la Romaine, and its exceptional site of Roman ruins.

day 3 ride to the famed Tour de France village of Bédoin. short climb to the village of Crillon le Brave with spectacular views of Mont Ventoux. Cycle on to the town of Beaumes de Venise (20km).

day 4 ride through the vineyards of the rhône Valley and via the famous wine towns of Vacqueyras and Gigondas. Continue to the beautiful perched village of Séguret above the rhône Valley (20km).

day 5 Pedal through the vines to the medieval villages of roaix and Villedieu and on to the town of Vaison la romaine, with its impressive roman ruins (25kms).

forests and an ancient stone wall to Cabrières. Continue to the beautiful perched village of Gordes (4.5 hours).

day 3 Circular walk through thyme-laden fields into the Senancole Valley. return to Gordes (3-4 hours).

day 4 Walk to the quaint town of Saint Panthaleon with superb views of the Calavon valley. Continue to the little-known village of Goult carved from limestone boulders (4-5 hours).

day 5 Walk past ruins of ancient stone farmhouses to the tiny medieval village of Lacoste. Continue to Bonnieux and explore its beautiful town square and 12th-century church (3-4 hours).

This self guided adventure through Umbria, the ‘Green Heart of Italy’, takes you into some of Central Italy’s most enchanting landscapes, roughly tracing the steps of medieval pilgrims on their journey from Assisi to Rome. As you walk from village to village you will be fully immersed in the mythical Umbrian landscape, with ample time to visit the cultural and historic gems of the charming villages of Trevi, Spello and Spoleto and, of course, the world famous Assisi. You’ll explore the impressive Marmore waterfalls and enjoy an overnight stay in a beautiful medieval monastery with plenty of time to sample the region’s unique culinary delights. day 3 Walk to the unspoilt Valnerina, the valley of the Nera river, along small rural hamlets and through forested hills. arrive at the beautiful Abbey of San Peitro in Valle, where you stay overnight (5-6 hours).

day 4 Walk along the pilgrim’s trail to the incredible Marmore Waterfalls, man-made in roman times. round walk in the exquisite natural surrounds (5 hours).

day 1 arrive Levanto.day 2 Coastal walk from Levanto to Monterosso al Mare

with magnificent views from Punta Mesco, across the Cinque Terre (3.5 hours).

day 3 Walk the famous ‘Sentiero del’Amore’ (‘Lover’s Walk’) from the colourful village of riomaggiore to the equally beautiful Manarola. Continue the ‘classic’ coastal walk, to Corniglia, perched on a ridge overlooking the sea, then through terraced vineyards and citrus groves to the pretty village of Vernazza (4-5 hours).

day 4 Train to vernazza and then walk along the coast to Monterosso. Walk inland to discover the hidden sanctuaries of the Cinque Terre: the Sanctuary of Madonna di Saviore and the Sanctuary of Madonna di reggio. descend back down to the coast to vernazza (4.5 hours).

day 5 Train to riomaggiore. Walk along a ridge-top traverse to the hamlet of Campiglia. Continue along spectacular panoramic trail to Portovenere with its coloured houses and 16th-century castle (4-5 hours).

day 6 Boat to the island of Palmaria. roundwalk over the island, explore the impressive fortresses or relax and swim on the beach. return by boat to Portovenere (3.5 hours).

day 7 Tour ends after breakfast in Portovenere.

The ancient villages, cultural landscapes and coastal scenery of the Cinque Terre make it the most beautiful part of the Italian Riviera, and a walker’s paradise! On this week of self guided day walks you’ll explore all five villages of the Cinque Terre via an extensive network of footpaths from village to village, via forests and vineyards and through spectacular terraced landscapes overlooking the sea. As you wander through the terraces, you’ll discover a traditional way of life that has existed for thousands of years. Through dense pine forests and cliff-top pathways you’ll reach the romantic village of Portovenere with its colourful harbour and 16th-century castle. Time is spent discovering the treasures of Portovenere as well as the beautiful island of Palmaria, on the ‘Bay of Poets’, where you’ll explore the island’s great natural beauty and impressive fortresses.

On this self guided tour, you’ll enjoy the perfect mix of culture and nature. Ancient mule tracks and stone stairways will link you between beautiful villages and remote farmsteads whilst winding pathways along cliff faces will reward you with the most stunning coastal vistas. You’ll explore the villages of Ravello, with its impressive villas and gardens and Scala, one of the oldest villages of the coast. The famed ‘Footpath of the Gods’ walk will lead you through terraced vineyards, lush vegetation and ancient hamlets to the charming town of Positano. vineyards and lemon groves and the beautiful little town of Atrani back to amalfi (1.5-2 hours).

day 3 from Scala walk via hamlet of Campidoglio through the Valle delle Ferriere. descend through lush forest to the little village of Pogerola. Beautiful medieval staircase leads you back to amalfi (5 hours).

day 4 Walk to the village of Pontone and up to Torre dello Zirro; enjoy views over Atrani. Walk through the ‘Valle dei Mulini’ (valley of the Mills) through fairytale landscape and 11th-century ruins. return to amalfi along a medieval mule track amidst lemon groves (4-5 hours).

day 1 arrive Breclav train station and transfer to hotel in Valtice.

day 2 explore the Baroque Valtice chateau. Walk through fields, vineyards and forest to Lednice and explore the Gothic revival Chateau of Lednice. Transfer to Mikulov (11km).

day 3 Walk along the Palava hills through the ruins of divci hrady (Maiden’s Castle). Continue on to the ruins of Sirotci hradek (orphan castle) and climb Tabulova Hill. descend through vineyards to castle town of Mikulov. Transfer to Vranov nad dyji (10 km).

day 4 Tour the magnificient Baroque Château in Vranov. explore the Podyji National Park and walk from the village of Cizov to the austrian village of Hardegg (14km).

day 5 Walk from the Landstejn castle to Nova Bystrice. Take the narrow-gauge railway to Jindrichuv Hradec (15km).

day 6 visit the historic town and castle of Jindrichuv hradec. Continue to Bohemia Lake district and visit medieval city of Trebon. Walk to Kojakovice then transfer to Cesky Krumlov (14km).

day 7 Transfer to Zlata Koruna and explore the monastery. Walk over Klet, the highest peak of the Blansky Forest. hike back to Cesky Krumlov (16km).

day 8 Transfer by bus to Prague where trip ends.
