• National Associated Press standards now support accurate reporting on mental health, supporting help-seeking behavior

• Develop programs to promote cultural competency and reduce disparities

Student Mental Health Legacy
The Student Mental Health Policy Workgroup’s first recommendation supported the inclusion of mental health curriculum for all future educator credentialing programs.
The California Teacher Credentialing Commission on September 26, 2013 approved
future administrator credential programs must include content knowledge on:

the social and mental health needs of the child
