This program is online and gives students the opportunity to work at there own rate. It also has different courses for Natural Resources and Veterinary Science. Green house: We have a green house full of beans, lettuce, and tomatoes that we planted ourselves. We have sold our vegetables to Centreville Schools. We are also buying poinsettias to sell when they are full grow. Land lab: We have been out at the land lab a few times now. While out there we did moisture tests, yield estimates/ ear count, harvest, soil samples and pump winterizing. Shop: We have been quite busy in the shop, from welding gates for new vet science pen, combine grain head repair, and repainting traveller and gravity wagons. 1 National FFA Convention Twelve FFA Members had a enjoyable three days in Louisville, Kentucky. While we were there we attended a National Session, watched National Contests, and explored the Expo. Our Meat Judging Team got the opportunity to compete at the National level. Poultry Contest The students had two groups of 25 chickens that where raised to market weight. Then students picked the top five. On November 7, 2014 students went to Munsell's poultry to process chickens, answers questions, and got judged on the packed of date and graphs they competed thoughout the project. Fall Fest Many Centreville elementary students got the opportunity to explore our farm. The kids got to see the animals, explore the green house, pumpkin bowl, hay maze, sack race, and learned about Agriculture. CENTREVILLE FFA NEWSLETTER

National FFA Convention

Twelve FFA Members had a enjoyable three days in Louisville, Kentucky. While we were there we attended a National Session, watched National Contests, and explored the Expo. Our Meat Judging Team got the opportunity to compete at the National level.

Contest Season is Coming Soon

Contest FFA members are getting ready for there contest seasons. Some contests are Agriculture issues, job interview, demonstration, and parliamentary procedures.

Districts February, 5 2015 at BACC. We will be competing against BACC, Homer, Marshall, and Vicksburg.

Regionals February, 19 2015 in Hastings.

State convention March 11-13 2015 at the MSU Wharton Center

Upcoming EventsPoinsettias

This hands-on activity gives us an opportunity to learn about propagation, watering, fertilizing and plant health issues. Students are responsible for record keeping, marketing and distribution of finished product. Proceeds from the sale of these plants are used by our students organization, the FFA. This is an integral part of the Agri-Science & Natural Resources program.

Cost: $10.00, wrapped in green foil and florist's sleeve.

Colors Include: Pink, Red, White, Jingle Bell and Marble.

Date of Sale: Monday, December 1st until all are sold.

Location: Behind Centreville High School at the Agri-Science and Natural Resources Program Greenhouse. Turn south off King Street at Dean Street
