WELCOME TO AGROVISTA’S SEED VARIETIES BROCHURE 2019.
www.agrovista.co.uk
With 2019 and beyond looking, at best, challenging for UK farmers, the Agrovista seeds team has been hard at work evaluating varieties to help underpin your crops’ performance in the coming season.
They have come up with a concise list of 11 wheats, four barleys and seven distinct oilseed rape lines, distilled from the 85 varieties that appear on the 2019/20 Recommended List. This will help create a bit more certainty by helping you pick best varieties to suit your particular circumstance.
This 2019 Cereals and Oilseed Seeds Brochure provides all the key information arable farmers need to maximise gross margin, the ultimate goal beyond yield itself. With ever-changing localised weather affecting agronomy decisions, reliability of performance is fundamental. Good disease resistance widens the spraying window, high specific weight enhances tonnage harvested and robust standing ability safeguards quality. The opportunity to realise a premium over the base feed price without the penalty of yield loss is also key.
The 2019 Cereals and Oilseeds Seeds Booklet details wheat varieties from all four quality sectors. High yield is assured.
Standout varieties include KWS Extase and KWS Firefly, but also Sartorial, a new hard feed akin to KWS Siskin in growth habit, disease resistance and specific weight. Sartorial is a unique and exclusive offer from Agrovista to the UK market this autumn.
Oilseed rape choice covers all key technological traits – Clearfield, clubroot and turnip yellows virus, pod shatter and RLM7 Phoma resistance. Good autumn vigour is inherent and two new seed treatments offer enhanced safeguard against establishment pests.
If you have any questions around varietal choice in specific situations please don’t hesitate to contact your Agrovista representative who will be able to help with all your agronomic considerations.
