Certificate Course on “Municipal Sewage Treatment Works Planning, Design, Installation, Operation and Maintenance” Programme Description and Course Outline The Government has committed multi-billions Hong Kong dollars budget to upgrading and provision of sewage treatment facilities in the territory for improvement of the water quality of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Baptist University together with The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers – MMNC Division and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers – Hong Kong Branch are going to organize a certificate course on “Municipal Sewage Treatment Works Planning, Design, Installation, Operation and Maintenance”, which aims at providing the local professionals with a structured frame starting from refreshing the basic sewage treatment concepts, looking into the practical and hand-on experiences on sewage and sludge treatment plant planning, design, project implementation, operation and maintenance and presenting to you the most state-of- art sewage treatment technologies. The course is structured in seven lectures: Lecturer Ir YU Shuk Man Senior Engineer Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Government of the HKSAR Ir Yu is a chartered mechanical, marine, electrical, building services, and environmental engineer, and has more than 20 years hands-on experience in the planning, design, supervision of installation, testing, commissioning, research and development work, operation and maintenance of municipal sewage treatment plants and systems. Certificate, Fee, Language, Enquires and Registration Certificate Attendance certificates will be issued by the “Sino-Forest Applied Research Centre For Pearl River Delta Environment, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU)” to the participants after each session for counting in their CPD purpose. A separate course certificate will be issued by the HKBU to participants who have passed the end-of course examination.
