Well in advance of the COA application deadline contact staff to discuss your project and, if necessary, to make an appointment to meet with staff for a project consultation.

Complete all applicable items and submit with the COA application form. Staff can assist you in determining what items are required for your scope of work. An incomplete application may cause delays in processing or may be deferred to the next agenda. Application materials must clearly represent current and proposed conditions. Refer to Houston Code of Ordinances, Ch. 33 VII, Sec. 33-241 for approval criteria for alteration, rehabilitation, restoration and additions.

Addition Revisions Description

There is an existing approved COA (HPO File No 160810) Dated August 25, 2016

The following revisions to the approved project are proposed;

- Windows in the 2nd floor master bedroom addition shown on the East (Right) Elevation are now fixed plate windows vs the currently approved COA showing lited, single hung windows. Also the MBR single door will now be a double French door. This makes the second floor MBR windows and french door pattren similar to the one already approved for the 1st floor family room addition All proposed new single hung windows will now be without patterned lites.

- the deck on the 1st floor is now a raised wooden deck, vs the currently approved COA which has pavers at ground level. Skirt all around will be open with a lattice finish in the between the piers. Steps from 1st floor deck to ground will have open risers.

- the stairwell leading to the 2nd story deck, as shown in the currently approved COA has been removed. Access to the deck is now via a common door on the second floor and via the master bedroom. An outdoor walkway has been added from the 2nd floor deck to a secondary entrance to the to the garage apartment to enable access by the owner.

Please also note the window schedule shows the material shall be either wood or metal. A final choice will be made depending on the contract for the construction, but the style will be the same as proposed.
