General Notes: 1. New lift pilings to be 12" dia. CCA treated wood pilings.2. All pilings to be driven 8' into strata. If hord strata is encountered, a 2'
minimum All pilings shall be driven to develop a minimum allowable bearingcapacity of 10 tons and shall penetrate a minimum of 8' into yielding material or2' into rock. Turbidity barriers are to surround all in water construction areasduring piling and/or panel installation activities.

Contractor. The Contractor shall take the necessary means to maintain andprotect the structural integrity and serviceability of the construction at all times.
7. Any discrepancies found for any circumstance between the structural plans andthe existing conditions found on site and/or any conditions that were omitted onthe plans will be the responsibility of the Contractor to immediately bring to theattention of the Engineer of Record.
8. Existing conditions are unknown, therefore, worst case conditions have beenapproximated. all existing conditions are assumed and must be confirmed by theContractor after permitting.
9. Engineer:s Limitations of Responsibilitx; The Engineer shall not be responsible forthe qu_a�1ty or cor1;position _of �oteri�ls, fabrications, construction inspection,superv1s1on, or review, special inspection, or the quality and correctness of c?nst�u.ctlon unless the appropriate submissions, reports, approvals, inspections,site. v1s1t, con�truction revi�w, or spec!al inspections are performed by theEngineer or his representative as required herein, and then only such res�onsibility as is associated with the specific work performed as is commonlyassigned a structural engineer in relation to other engineering and constructiondisciplines associated with the project.
10. The Engineer shall not be responsible for site and construction safety and/or thesafety of construction workers. Site and construction safety is the responsibilityof the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of hisemployees and the safety of the employee of all subcontractors to the project.
11. Engineer's Statement of Compliance: To the best of the Engineer's knowledge, thestructural pl?n.s and specifications presented herein comply with the applicableminimum bu1ld1ng codes, standards, and practices.
