Certification Marks and restrictions for use

Organisations certified by NMO to ISO 9001 or MID Module D, D1, E, E1 or NAWI Module D are authorised to use the NMO certification marks below to promote their achievement. Certified organisations may only use the make use of the certification mark in reference to the provision of goods and services as detailed within their scope of certification.

There are restrictions on where and how certified organisation may use the certification marks that contain the UKAS logo. Please select the logo that relates to your certification from the list below. The image is high resolution and so can be copied and pasted as needed. Web versions are available upon request. Please do not make use of any certification mark for any certifications that you do not presently hold. Terms of use for Certification Marks

The Certification Mark may be used on:

Stationary

Signs (excluding site boundary, external walls and flags).

Websites

Corporate Literature (excluding literature that does not relate in whole or in part to the goods or services described in the scope of registration).

Advertising and Publicity Materials (excluding materials that do not relate in whole or in part to the goods or services described in the scope of registration).

The Certification Mark may not be used on:

Vehicles

Calibration Certificates

Inspection Certificates

Products

Product Packaging

Statements about Product Conformity (Quality Management System Certification only)

Important note:

The Certification Mark may be printed or displayed in a single colour, which is the predominant ink colour of the document, or, in the case of a pre-printed letterhead, the predominant ink colour of the letterhead.

The Certification shall not normally be reduced beyond a minimum height of 20mm and a maximum height 30mm if printed on a sheet of A4 paper (any increase above 30mm must be proportionate). In exceptional circumstances which are usually dictated by space limitation or cost the logo may be reduced beyond 20mm provided that all elements are reduced proportionately and the mark remains legible.

Any statement about ISO 9001 certification on product packaging, or accompanying information, must not imply that the product is certified. (ISO 9001 is not a product certification – it is a management system certification). Any statement shall include reference to:

Name of the certified organisation

The ISO 9001 Quality Management System

The Certification Body that awarded the certification (NMO).

NMO registration number with UKAS (135) that is included in the certification mark may not be removed.
