WhygetcertifiedValueOkta Certification is a Program for IT professionals to validate their knowledge and skills throughexamination.Oktacertificationsaregrantedtoindividuals,notcompanies,andestablishbaselineabilitystandardsforpersonswhoadminister,implement,develop,andarchitectidentityandsecuritysolutionsusingtheOktaservice.

Certifications distinguish the holder of the credential in the market and can be used to advanceprofessional career goals. Companies can use certification to improve competitive advantage bymanagingemployeeskilldevelopmentandmoreeasilyrecruitingnewtalentwithformallyvalidatedskillsets.

TakingtheexamCertificationexamsareadministeredandproctoredbyExamity®.OktahaspartneredwithExamity,asecureonlineproctoringservice,toprotecttheintegrityofcertificationexams.Onlineproctoringmeansthatexamscanbetakenfrommostanylocationatatimethatisconvenientforyou,withouttraveltoatestcenter.Oktamay,atitssolediscretion,opttoholdin-persontestingsessions.

ReadtheExamityUserGuidefordescriptionsofthetestregistrationandtesttakingexperience.

EligibilityTobeeligibletoregisterforandtakeanexam,acandidatemustbe:

• At least eighteen (18) years of age or have a parent or guardian co-sign ourMinor Parent-Guardiansignatureformdownloadablegoo.gl/FPpX3W.

• MustnothavebeenbannedfromparticipationintheProgram

RegisteringCreate a user profile on the Examity site at https://prod.examity.com/OKTA/. Provide your name,companyname,emailaddress,phonenumber,andacurrentheadshotphotograph(notanID).

NOTE: Okta does not require the upload of any formof legal identification, such as driver’s license,passportoranothergovernmentissuedID.Youwillberequiredtopresentformalidentificationaspartoftheexamauthenticationprocessonthedayofyourtest,buttosafeguardagainstunauthorizedaccesstosensitivetesttakercredentials,governmentissuedIDsarenotrecordedorstoredinuserprofilesforOktacertificationexams.

Thefollowingregistrationconductisstrictlyprohibited:

• Providingfalseormisleadinginformationaboutyouridentityorthatofanyotherperson.• RegisteringforortakinganOktaexamwithanotherindividual’sExamitylogin.• AllowingsomeoneelsetoregisterforortakeandOktaexamwithyourExamitylogin.• CreatingmultipleExamitysiteprofiles.• HoldingmultipleexamregistrationsatthesametimeunderdifferentExamitylogins.

Fees,cancellations,andreschedulesExamity manages certification scheduling and payment, rescheduling, and cancellation for all Oktacertification exams and you must initiate these actions through the Examity system. Okta CertifiedProfessionalandOktaCertifiedAdministratorexamfeesare$150USDforeachexamattempt.TheOktaCertifiedConsultantExamfeeis$300foreachattempt.Nodiscountsareofferedforretakes.Paymentfortheexamismadeduringtheappointmentprocessandmaybepaidforbycreditcardorbyusingan



examvoucherprovidedbyOkta. If cancellationbecomesnecessary, refunds canbe givenonly if thecancellationpolicywasadheredtoandtheywillonlybegrantedtotheoriginalcreditcardutilizedduringtheappointmentprocess.

ScoringandresultsCutscores:ExampassingthresholdsaresetindependentlyusingstatisticalanalysisandinputfromOktaexpertsandindependentpsychometricians.Oktareviews,updates,andadjustsexamquestionsonanongoingbasisasitemsareupdatedorrefreshedandtoensureitemaccuracybaseduponOktafeatureenhancements.Forthisreason,OktadisclosesexamresultsasPassorFailonlyanddoesnotpublishcut-scores.

Examresult:apass/failexamresultwillbesenttoyouviaemailwithinten(10)daysoftakingyourexam.Onceallpublishedrequirementsaremet,youwillearnthecertificationcredentialandbeauthorizedtousethecertificationtitleandlogoonyourbusinesscardsandotherprofessionalcollateral.

Indeterminateresults:Oktaregularlymonitorstheperformanceofallexamstoensurethevalidityofresultsand fairness toall test takers.During themonitoringofexamperformance,Oktamayclassifyscores as indeterminate. Indeterminate results are not considered valid and will not be eligible forcertification.Oktawillallowcandidateswhoseresultsareindeterminatetheoptionofretakingtheexamatnocost.IfitisdeterminedthatabreachoftheProgramAgreementoranypoliciesdescribedintheHandbookhascontributedtotheclassificationofindeterminate,OktawilltakeadditionalactionaslaidoutintheProgramAgreement.

Candidateretesting:Oktareservestherighttoaskanycandidatetore-testifthereisanysuspicionoffraudulentoraberranttestscores.

Appeals:Acandidatehastherighttoappealtheirexamresults.Whenanappealisrequestedinwriting,Oktawillreviewthecandidate’sresultstodetermineifanymistakesweremadeinthedeterminationoftheirscoreresults.

Scored&unscoredquestions: Yourexammay containunscoredquestions in addition to the scoredquestions,tothetotalnumberofquestionsthatarepresentedtoyoumaybegreaterthanthenumbershown on the exam page. This is standard testing practice. You will not know which questions areunscored. If your exam contains unscored questions, the time allowed for the exam takes into



considerationthetimeyouwillneedtoanswerallquestionsandreviewyourwork.Yourexamresultswillreflectyourperformanceonthescoredquestionsonly.

RetakesRulesgoverning retakeare inplace toprotect the integrityofexamcontentandallowthecandidateadditionaltimetoprepareafterafailedattempt.Examretakesaresubjecttothefollowingconditions:

• Acandidate forcertificationcanretakea failedexam24hoursafterhisorher first failedattempt.

• Acandidatemustwait14daysaftereachsubsequentfailedattemptpriortoretakingafailedexam.

• Candidatesmayonlytakebetaexamsone(1)time.• Candidatesmaynotretakepassedexams.• Examfeesmustbepaidforeachattemptandwillnotberefundedforafailedexam.

Violationof the retakepolicy inanyway, including,butnot limited to, retakinganexamprior to thedesignatedwaitingperiodorregisteringfortheexamusingfalsecredentialsmayresultinexamresultsbeinginvalidated.Atestresultfoundtobeinviolationoftheretakepolicywillbemarkedinvalid,whichwillresultinnocreditawardedforthetesttaken.RepeatviolatorswillbebannedfromparticipationintheOktaCertificationProgram.

TesttakingrulesToensure theaccuracyandvalidityof test scores, the following rulesmustbe following through theentireperiodthatyouaretakingyourproctoredexam.Violationofanyoftheserulesmayresultsinthesuspensionandpossiblythecancellingofyourexam:

• The test surfacemustbeclutter freeandcontainonlyonecomputermonitoror screen,onekeyboard,andonemouse.Dualmonitorsorscreensarenotpermitted.

• Nofoodorbeveragesareallowedinthetestingarea• Nophone,calculators,orotherelectronicdevicesonthetest• Nonotes,studymaterials,books,oraccesstootherwebsitesisallowedduringtheexam• Donotwearjackets,hoodies,hats,tiesorscarveswhentakingtheexam• Youmustbealoneintheroomwithnoadditionalperson• Youmaynottalktoanyoneduringtheexam;thisincludesansweringthephone• Youmustremainseatedforthedurationofthetestandmaynotleavetheroomforanyreason,

includingusingtherestroom.• Proctorsareauthorizedtopauseyourexamatanytimeupondetectingtestingirregularity.

Theymayalsostopyourexam,whichmeansthatitwillbeconsiderednullandvoid.



PoliciesCertificationprogramagreementThe Okta Certification Program Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms and conditions thatgovern your participation in the Program. It is critical that you read the agreement in advance ofregisteringforanexam,asyouwillnotbepermittedtoregisterforortakeanyOktaCertificationProgramexamwithoutagreeingtotheterms.TheAgreementwillappearbeforeyoucanstartyourexamontestdayandfailuretoacceptthesetermswillmeanthatyouwillbeunabletotakethetestandyouwillnotreceivearefund.TherightsgrantedtoyouundertheAgreementarenotineffectuntilyousuccessfullypasstheexamandotherwisefulfillstatedrequirementsforcertificationorrecertification.

ViolationofanytermsintheAgreementcanprohibityoufromtakingtheexam,invalidateyourscore,suspendorrevokeyourcertification,orbanyoufromtheProgram.

CertificationcandidatecodeofconductNocandidateswillparticipate inanycheating,breachofsecurity,misconduct,oranyactionsthatwillcompromise the integrity or confidentiality of an Okta examination or otherwise compromise theintegrityorconfidentialityofOkta’scertificationprograms.Suchbehaviorsinclude,butarenotlimitedto,thefollowing:

• Makingpublicthequestions,answers,oranyofthecontentofanexamwithanyperson,withoutpriorwrittenapprovalfromOkta.

• Discussingexamcontentpriortoorfollowinganexamination,withoutpriorwrittenapprovalfromOkta.

• Obtaining ormaking a copy of an Okta exam (by anymeans including reconstruction throughmemorization),advertising,selling,and/ordistributingactualexamcontentbyanymeansincludingwebpostings,discussionforums,chatrooms,studyguides,etc.

• Using unauthorized preparation materials (examples of which include, but are not limited to,“brain-dump”materials,actualexamquestions,andotherunauthorizedpublishedexamcontent)priortoorduringanexam.

• Providingfalsifieddocumentationasmeansofprovidingfalseidentityorfalseaddressinformationwhen registering or taking an exam, including impersonating another candidate or solicitingsomeonetotakeanexamonyourbehalf.

• Using falsified or altered certificates, score reports or other documents or electronicmedia tomisrepresentcertificationstatus.

• AlteringortamperingwiththetestingequipmentforthepurposesofgaininganunfairadvantageonanOktacertificationexam.

• Giving,receiving,orobtainingassistanceofanykindforanyOktaexam.• Causingadisturbanceorbehavingunprofessionallyatanytestingfacility.• Talkingorcommunicatingwithotherexam-takerswhiletestingisinprogress.• BreachingthetermsoftheOktaExamRetakePolicyorCandidateAgreement.



ClassifyingScoresasIndeterminate

OktamonitorsthehealthofallexamstoidentifyviolationsoftheCertificationProgramCodeofConductandtoensurethevalidityofexamresults.Duringthemonitoringofexamhealth,Oktamayclassifytestscores as indeterminate when abnormalities in performance are detected for which there is nosatisfactoryexplanation.AtestscoremaybeclassifiedasindeterminateasaresultofabreachinthisCodeofConductorotherviolations.Ifatestscoreisclassifiedasindeterminate,thecandidatewhoholdsthe affected test score will be advised of options for appealing the decision. Scores classified asindeterminatewillnotbereportedtoanyoneotherthantheindividualsassociatedwiththosescores.Indeterminate test scoreswill be removed fromOkta’s systemof records for certificationswithin30calendardaysfromnoticeoftheviolation,unlessotherwisespecified.IfabreachoftheCodeofConducthascontributed to theclassificationof indeterminate results,Oktamayalso takeadditionalactionasdescribedbelow.

NotificationofViolationsofPolicyandPossibleSanctions

IfOktadetermines thatacandidatehasviolated thisCodeofConduct,anoticeof theviolationsandapplicablesanctionswillbesenttothecandidate.AcertificationcandidateflaggedforviolatingtheCodeof Conductwill have an opportunity to provide relevant information for evaluation to challenge theallegation of violation. It is the candidate's sole responsibility to ensure that your current contactinformation,includingemailaddress,arestoredinOkta’ssystemsofrecordforcertificationlocatedathttps://prod.examity.com/OKTA/.

AppealsProcess

AfteracandidatehasreceivednoticeofaviolationandtheapplicablesanctionsfromOkta,thecandidatewillhavethirty(30)calendardaystofileawrittenrequestforanappealpursuanttotheOktaCandidateAppealsProcess.Allappealsmustbesubmittedtocertification@okta.com,withtheword“Appeal” inthesubjectofthee-mail.

RemediesforViolatingtheCodeofConduct

AnycandidatedeterminedbyOktatohaveviolatedtheCodeofConductwillbesubject,butnotlimitedto,oneormoreofthefollowingremedies,ifdeterminednecessarybyOktaasbasedontheseverityoftheincidentorviolation:

• DenialofanOktacertificationfortheapplicableexaminationforamaximumperiodof12calendarmonthsfromthedateofsuchdetermination

• Indeterminationoftestscore• Requiredtoretakeanexamination• Ineligibilitytoregisterand/orscheduleANYOktaexaminationforaminimumof6calendarmonths• Anyandallotherappropriateactions, including legal remedies, thatOktadeemsnecessaryand

appropriatetoenforcethisCodeofConduct

RecertificationpolicyTheOkta serviceaddsnew featuresand functionality at a rapid rateandcertification candidatesareexpectedtokeeppacewithproductenhancements.Afteryouachieveacertificationcredential,youmustmeetongoingrequirementstokeepcredentialscurrentanduseOktacertificationlogos.Thismayincludethecompletionofspecifictraining,recertificationexams,orevensittingforcoreexamsatdesignatedintervals.

Untilfurthernotice,belowistherequirementforrecertification:

DefinitionofKeyTermsBelowisalistofdefinitionsofkeytermsasdefinedbytheOktaCertificationTeam.Thesetermsareusedinothercertificationcollateral.TheyarepresentedheretohelpensurecandidatesforOktacertificationshaveacommonunderstandingofkeyterminologiesfrequentlyusedbytheOktaCertificationTeam.

ExamDiscontinuation:Whenanexamisdiscontinued,thatexamisnolongeravailableforpurchase.Itisalsonolonger available for delivery. A discontinued exam is removed from production and archived. Candidates forcertification can no longer take that exam in pursuit of a certification. Discontinued exams do not impact the



certification statuses of current certification holders. Certifications already attained by passing an exam that isdiscontinuedremainvaliduntilthedateofexpirationofthosecertifications.

CertificationRetirement:Whenacertificationisretired,thatcertificationisnolongerattainable.Certificationsalreadyawardedremainvaliduntiltheexpirationdateofthosecertification.

Certification Expiration: When a certification expires, that certification is no longer considered valid.Certificationscanexpireintwoways,bothofwhicharedefinedbyOkta.Acertificationcanexpirebasedonapresettimelimit,forexampletwoyearsfromthedateattainedorbasedonaprogramdecision.Or,Oktacanchoosetoforciblyexpireanindividualcertification,certificationprogram,orentirecertificationtrack.

Oktawillprovidethepublicwithamplenoticepriortothediscontinuationofanyexamsandtheretirementandexpirationofanycertifications.Discontinuedexams,aswellasretiredandexpiredcertifications,willbelistedonthecertificationwebpageforaperiodof12months.

OktacertificationlifecyclephasesThefollowingstepsdescribethelifecyclephasesforeachOktacertification:

1. Certificationprogramisannounced.2. Certificationexamisreleasedtothepublic.3. Discontinuationofcertificationexamisannouncedthreetosixmonthsbeforethediscontinuationdate.4. Certificationexamisdiscontinued.5. Retirementofcertificationisannouncedthreetosixmonthsbeforethecertificationisretired.Certificationis

validevenaftertheretirementdate.Note:InsituationswhereOktachoosestoforciblyexpireacertificationprogram,theexpirationofthecertificationwillbeannouncedthreetosixmonthsbeforethecertificationisexpired.

6. Certificationisnolongervalidonceithasexpired.
