R&D&I - RESEARCH DIVISIONS

Mechatronics & RoboticsCETRI’s group of M&R is capable of designing custom robotics and mechatronics according to its clientele needs, as well as to define the necessary requirements for off the self purchases. The technology advancements have enabled the employment of such systems in extreme environmental conditions, under demanding timings, and in services which require high accuracy and repeatability.

Energy & EnvironmentCETRI group of E&E is capable of modelling, designing and development of innovative frameworks according to its clientele needs (public/private sector), as well as to define the necessary requirements for off the self, holistic product solutions. Energy use and supply is of fundamental importance to society and has made the greatest impact on the environment of any human activity

Electronics & ICTElectronics and Optoelectronics group is deeply involved in the targeted development of nanocomposite materials that find various applications in the sector of electronics. The group is involved with ICT subjects like smart sensor integration, signal processing / pattern recognition, wireless sensor networks, Non-Destructive Testing techniques, adaptive and cognitive systems.

Materials& NanotechnologyWith the implementation of nanotechnologies, products can be improved for both professional and general public users. CETRI’s skills therefore encompass a massive range of processes and applications, whether nano-engineered materials are integrated into complex matrixes or coated onto the surfaces, they offer prospects such as improved durability, self-cleaning, self-healing and water- or dirt- repellent features.

Food & Health CareThe health care group research is applied first in every day life with technological structural products and second in health issues that any individual possibly face by giving innovative solutions in rehabilitation while promoting a healthy way of life. Much expertise also exists in the food processing sector addressing both technological as well as nutritional issues.

CETRI participated in over than 20 projects in the last five years.

The writing team of CETRI had 70% success rate (above threshold) in writing proposals under FP7 funding scheme.

Only in 2013 the research group has managed to attain funding for 6 projects under FP7 funding scheme. CETRI also enjoys its first 6 H2020 (Horizon 2020 EU funding framework) projects under Marie Skłodowska – Curie, Factory of Future (FoF), Energy Efficiency (EE), NMP and Health actions starting in 2015.
