Parts are loaded onto BGK’s chain-on-edge conveyor, automatically coated, and transferred to a separate conveyor for curing. The dual-conveyor design minimizes the quantity of paint-masking fixtures by keeping the coating loop separate from the cure loop. The automatic transfer station is me- chanically linked to both convey- ors, and powder-coated parts are transferred from the coating loop to the cure loop. After part transfer, the masking fixtures pass through a blow-off/vacuum station before re- turning to the part loading area. Transferred coated parts pass through an infrared oven on non- painted part holders. Expensive fix- ture bum-off is not required.

Finishing Equipment now has four standard model SCH-programmable hoists available. The SCH-10 hoist handles loads up to 1,000 lb. The SCH-1, SCH-2, and SCH-4 hoists feature load capaci- ties of 100 lb, 200 lb, and 400 lb, respectively. The model SCH-4 also offers a tilt option. The hoists handle work from load position through dips, transfer at different levels, dwell for drain-off, and re- turn to the load-unload position. Each hoist can be equipped to pick up and unload automatically.
