CHAIRMAN 'S MESSAGE HAPPINESS HELD IS THE SEEDHAPPINESS SHARED IS THE FLOWER I hope you all are keeping well and safe. At the outset I wish a very happy and prosperous festival season to you all. Unfortunately the corona virus pandemic struck and we had to put a halt to our activities but we managed to do very many activities virtually on Whatsapp.

I thank all my members who were very active, co-operative and creative in taking part. I also thank all the judges in judging the exhibits. Once again looking forward for you support in 2021.Thank you all.

SATURDAY 25th JANUARY 2020 A.G.M.This years A.G.M. meeting was at Chairlady Nutan Patel's house. Members present were 26. Apologies were 14.

The meeting started with a word of prayer by Janet Gathoga. This was followed by the welcome address by Chairlady who appreciated the members for their support in running of the club.

Later the secretary and the treasurer read their respective reports. Members present proposed Nutan to retain her position as a Chairlady.

Committee members elected were 6On this day Suraj Shah from Pot Herbivore gave talk on Permaculture. REGENERATIVE TECHNIQUES. Members had refreshments and thanked Nutan.

SATURDAY 29TH FEBRUARY 2020VISIT TO FONTANA FLOWER FARM On this day 18 members paid a visit to Fontana ower farm in Njoro. This visit was organized by Nalini Dodhia and Aku Patel. Members had an opportunity to see the green houses, fertilization centre, cold storage etc. All had great time.

SATURDAY 29TH MARCH 2020Plant sale was to be organized by Mrunalini Patel and Nasreen Malik. But on a sad note this was postponed due to covid- 19 virus by the Government.

SATURDAY 22ND MAY 2020Members were asked to plant a seed in a container and were given a time limit up-till September for the seed to germinate. We had 26 entries. Congratulations to winners and the participants.

MAY 3RD TO 17TH JUNE VIRTUAL FLOWER SHOW 2020As we could not proceed with the planned ower show the committee came up with a brilliant idea of having Virtual ower show on WhatsApp. We had total number of 11 classes. As per classes we had 204 entries highest ever of all the ower shows. Congratulations to all the winners and the participants.

JUNE 5TH 2020 WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAYTo mark the world environment day two members Wamboi Gibson and Nalini Dodhia planted trees and plants with their children.

AUGUST 17TH TO 1ST SEPTEMBER KHS NAIROBI VIRTUAL FLOWER SHOW During this ower show many Nakuru members took part and won in very many classes. 3 Nakuru District members took part in display of Horticultural interest and won 2and prize. Congratulations to all.

OCTOBER 8TH CREATIVE VEGETABLE DISPLAYVery many members took part in this activity by creating beautiful designs. Thanks to the members for showing their creativity.
