✓Appliances Recycling S.A. is the official PRO that organizes, operates and controls the collective system for the management of the Waste of Electrical and Electronic Alternative Equipment (WEEE) in Greece.

✓Company’s main activities are organizing and monitoring activities

✓ The primary goal of the company is to contribute to the achievement of the targets set by European and Greek legislation and of the targets which are specified by the authorization by HRA and to control the total cost of the WEEE Management activities.

✓Ensure the fulfilment of obligations for EEE producers imposed by the Law 2939/2001 modified by 4496/2017 and Ministerial Decision 23615/651 / E.103 on the Management of WEEE related to their activity.

✓Non investment basis and develop cooperation with contractors in all the stages of WEEE treatment

• Authorities (municipalities) are responsible for the collection of all household type of waste

• Municipalities should submit a Waste Management plan in order to succeed the main targets imposed by the National Waste Management plan

• There are no specific references or targets regarding WEEE collection

• According to Greek legislation Municipalities are obliged to cooperate with PRO
