Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ireland is a charity, registered with The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland (NIC 100984) and with the Charities Regulator in the Republic of Ireland (RCN 20201509). Deputation Profile Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ireland Name: Stephen & Grace Chambers Country: Western Europe Role: Area Directors Designate Information/Bio: We are Stephen & Grace Chambers (Joel 15, Hannah 13, Leah 11 & Joshua 8). We were both saved as children and our first in-depth encounter with Child Evangelism Fellowship® was in our late teens at a New Year Camp. We then attended the Summer Outreach Training Course to prepare for summer ministry. For eight years we worked as volunteers with CEF in our local area doing 5-Day Clubs®, Tract Distribution, Good News Club® ministry, Senior Youth Challenge, and various camps. In 2004 we both believed that the Lord was calling us into full time ministry. We completed Children’s Ministry Leadership Course (CMLC) and started work as local workers in NE Ulster. At that time, we were assured by this verse from Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” We served in NE Ulster for 14 years, during which time our vision was expanded beyond our local area as we have worked in Europe through the Multimedia Advisory Group, a ‘Momentum’ team to Sweden, and helping at an Instructor of Teachers course for Western Europe. The invitation to serve in Western Europe came unexpectedly and was very humbling. However inadequate we feel, we believe it is the right timing and the right role for the gifts God has graciously given us. We do realise that we have much to learn, but firmly believe the Lord will further equip us in the days ahead, and enable us to be a help, support and encouragement to country/team leaders and workers in Western Europe. These words from Philippians 3:12 have been a help to us and no doubt will be an encouragement in days to come, “but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me His own.”

Purpose of Deputation Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ireland

Information CEF is an interdenominational, international organisation working in over 190 countries around the world. Our passion is to teach the Bible to children in a fun and relevant way. We are a Bible-centred organisation, whose purpose is: • To evangelise boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ; • To disciple them in the Word of God; • To establish them in a local church. We endeavour to do this through various ministries to children and young people. We are a faith-based mission; all our workers seek to undertake deputation on a regular basis. The main function of deputation is to establish and maintain prayer, financial and practical support among God’s people. We do this primarily by speaking in churches, home/house groups or with interested people about the ministry we are involved in. Keeping this in mind, the purpose of deputation is not primarily to speak at children’s meetings, although these can help to develop an interest in missions among the children and young people. Do keep in mind that the primary purpose of deputation is to speak about our ministry. Thank you for your interest in, and support for, the work of CEF.
