MOTIVATION TO
WORK IN DEVELOPMENT
SECTOR
When I was coming back to Sri Lanka after my further education, Sri Lanka
has been a war torn land where thousands of people suffer due to direct and indirect impacts of war, mistrust and social disintegration. Uneven distribution
of wealth has caused poor poorer. Inter-ethnic inter-religious tensions often
result in violence, since people themselves do not believe in each other. As I
believe no political or economic force will have answer to this situation. It is
the people who have to find their own way by collective action, and that is
the message of Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement in Sri Lanka too.
EXPECTATION Continuing my career in development sector in Sri Lanka
