6.2 9.7 RED GRANITE:Intensely altered (albite? hematite) light brick red rock with 5 - 1C^ magnetite veining and local breccia matrix; some magnetite accompanied by quartz; l - 2% pyrite as disseminatd patches ( 6C^ ) and as massive patches and streaks with qtz magnetite veining; local epidotized narrow veinlets. Buff to pale greenish. Lower contact ground somewhat but thought to be 75 degrees to C/A.

9.7 12.1 CONTACT ZONE:9.7 - 10.2: Magnetite ( SO 1!? ) in chloriti2ed mafic rock; badly broken up; black to greyish greenish brown. Lower contact ground and missing.10.2 - 12.1: Highly altered mafic rock ( calcite, qtz, chlorite, epidote ) with patches and dylelets of pinkish orange felcite. Pale to medium grey; massive appearance. Lower contact gradational over l metre, alteration extends for several metres into underlying rocks but weakens gradually.

12.1 168.0 DIABASE:Locally quartz bearing; medium to very coarse grained;weak to non-magnetic; local calcite +/- qtz veins;local fracture zones, often at low angle to C/A;fracture usually calcite filled.19.0 - 19.4: Low angle fracture accompanied by two l cmcalcite + qtz veinlets at 40 degrees to C/A, reversedirection from fracture.21.0 - 26.0: Fracture zone at very low angle to C/A;narrow calcite qtz veinlet appears and probably repeatsseveral times along zone; some pyrite with veinlet,probably fault zone; low angle to drill hole.26.0 - 33.0: Very coarse grained to pegmatic phase;locally fractured; strongly magnetic, particularly in

1.5 26.2 METASEDIMENTS:Argillite, wacke, arkose and coarse sandstone, interlayered, layers from < l cm to several metres; occasional crossbedding; abundant graded bedding indicating tops towards the collar; layering typically 75 - 85 degrees to the C/A; occasional calcite filled very thin fractures at random orientations to C/A; scattered pyritic zones, never more than 2%. Badly fractured and broken below 15 metre where unit becomes 60?r argillite.

26.2 26.35 CALCITE VEIN:Pure white crystalline calcite with several coarse( ci cm ) patches of pyrite; 65 and 70 degrees to C/A,sharp contacts.

26.35 35.8 MAGNETITE PYRITE ZONE:Massive magnetite with varying amounts of pyrite andcalcite and rare quartz; lower contact marked at end ofmagnetite.26.35 - 28.2: 35*1; magnetite, 35*1; pyrite, 25*^ calciteand remainder being quartz, argillite, pyrrhotite,hematite and possible rare sphalerite; lower contactgradational over 0.4 metres.28.2 - 32.9: Massive magnetite (95fc) with pyrite, rarecalcite and minor argillaceous material.32.9 - 35.8: Magnetite (35 !Sf) , calcite (35%) , argillite(28%) and pyrite (2%) deformed appearance.

35.8 36.5 CONTACT SKARN:Consists of 60% limey argillite, 20% carbonate, 20% recrystallized granitic material; about 2% Cpy/Py overall as coarse patches and streaks.
