Championing the future of homesSponsorship proposal
Since 2002, we have delivered genuine,
lasting, and impactful transformation of the
built environment.
From events to internationally recognized
advocacy and leading global standards, we
have had an impact of the last 16 years.
In 2015, we revised our mission. We aim to
lead the sustainable transformation of the
built environment. And we aim to do so, to
deliver healthy, resilient, and positive places
for people and the natural environment.
Housing affordability and the cost of living
means many Australians are being priced out
of our largest cities. Alongside this
challenge, the energy efficiency,
sustainability and resilience of Australian
homes leaves much to be desired, relative to
our international peers.
We need better housing, and you can help
deliver it.
We can deliver the future
With your contribution, we can help address
these challenges. You can help deliver a
program of activities that will set the
residential sector, the sector that has the
most potential to improve the resilience of
our cities and quality of life for all, on a path
of transformation.
Your organisation has the opportunity to
support:
• Thought leadership papers, setting a new
benchmark for homes in Australia.
• Development of training programs to help
industry skill up in this space.
• Advocacy efforts to ensure the National
Construction Code, and other policy
outcomes deliver what we need.
• A consumer focused label, with a low cost
verification framework that clearly
identifies a high quality home.
In return, your organisation will be
showcased as a leader both locally and
internationally. Your organisation will also
get exclusive briefings that will help you
understand the international landscape and
put you ahead of your competition.

The future of homesThe residential sector accounts for 57% of
Australia’s built environment emissions. Our
home influences almost every aspect of our lives.
Most Australians rely on the regulation to ensure that
housing is affordable, high quality, and liveable.
But regulation isn’t delivering, we must do better.
“We’re in this together – and it’s
only with your support that we’ll
realise our vision for a healthy,
resilient and positive future.”

Head of Market Transformation
Green Building Council of Australia
The future of homesThe residential sector is primed for
disruption. We are embarking on a program
of works to redefine what great housing looks
like for Australians.
With the support of industry, from developers to volume
builders, and from finance to product suppliers, we plan on
delivering the following outcomes:
• At least one thought leadership paper describing current
market conditions and the potential for better homes in
Australia
• A series of pilot projects in the residential sector, aimed at
delivering case studies for certified housing in a
consumer-centric manner.
• A common standard and vision for homes that can define
the energy, comfort, quality, and liveability requirements
for homes in the future.
We plan a collaborative approach and will work with closely
with our industry and government partners to align with other
programs.
“We believe that we
can use what we’ve
learned in other
sectors to transform
housing in Australia.”
