Problem:Acauseofoneormoreincidents.ThecauseisnotusuallyknownatthetimeaProblemiscreated.
Task:Tasksarecreatedbyuserswhoarerequestingthetasktobeperformed,andarethenupdatedasthetaskmovesalongtheworkflow.Ataskiscreated,workisperformeduponit,andeventuallyitmovestoaresolvedstate.Tasksallowuserstorequesttasks,andtrackhowtheyarebeingfulfilledbytheappropriateparties
ServiceRequest:Arequestsubmittedbyauserforsometypeofservice,software,orhardware.Servicerequestsgenerallyrefertosomethingtheuserwantsand/orneedsbutdoesnotalreadyhave,suchasaprinterorlaptop.
Change:Theaddition,modificationorremovalofanythingthatcouldhaveaneffectonIRTServices.
ChangeInitiator:Thepersoninitiatingthechangerequestinthe“Requestedby”field.ThisfieldwillautomaticallybefilledinforthepersonloggedintoServiceNowenteringthechange,butcanbeupdatedifthechangeisenteredonbehalfofsomeoneelse.ThechangeinitiatoristypicallytheChangeOwnerthemselvesiftheyarerequestingthechange.

ApplicationNavigator
