SEMINAR WAS FABULOUS FUN!
The very talented and beautiful and hard working
Sandra was crowned UK Queen of Sales. She
has generously found time to write about her
goal and achievement for us. Be there next
year!!!!! And what a surprise for me to be getting
the Miss Go Give UK award. Thank you for your
votes—it was an honour and you can read more
in the November Applause!
Suddenly it is Autumn! For us in retail,
Christmas is on the horizon! Women shop for Christmas presents in October and November
because in December they think about food! So, don’t miss out. Invest in the new products
on 16th October when they appear. In the meantime let your customers know what is com-
ing.
If you are up to speed on social media (how could you not be?) you will have “shared” the
pictures, the videos and the adverts that have been coming out fast and furious from the USA
and from our own Digital Darren! Take pre-orders!
Retreat date is out and I am taking bookings. Hurry up if you want to join in the fun! It is all

Queen of Sales 2012
Being Crowned Queen of Sales has been
a wonderful experience - I've loved every
minute and feel very honoured to hold
the title.
The jewellery is simply lovely and people
are amazed that a company rewards
their people with such generous gifts.
I've been with Mary Kay six years and I've learnt so much.
Each year I've increased in confidence but never imagined it
possible to win Queen of Sales until last year when I set my
heart on it. I made that decision, and focussed on that vision -
that was where I wanted to be!
Looking back, here are my key tips to help you achieve your
vision:
• Break it down into bite size pieces and celebrate achieving
each stage.
• Keep yourself focussed - know what you want to achieve each
week and each month.
• Share your vision with someone you trust - a friend who'll
encourage you along the way
• Each day be prepared to talk to people you come into contact
with about Mary Kay.
• Get involved in ladies groups like WI, Inner Wheel, golf and
networking groups.
• You'll find your customers will introduce you to friends - peo-
ple prefer to buy on recommendation - ask your customers "who
else do you know that might like the product as much as you
do?"
• Remember the Golden Rule of looking after your customers -
it leads to trust, trust leads to loyalty and often to genuine
friendships - such a rewarding experience!
Some of this I've learnt through simply trying new things -
some have worked, some haven't. Many times over the years
I've faced disappointment - appointments not seeming worth-
while or an event not attracting people, What's kept me going
during the tough times has been the consistent support I've had
from Mary Rose and others who've simply been there for me.
