Change through TeamworkHow change affects teamwork?
Stages in team building• Forming• Storming• Norming • Performing
Forming• In this stage, most team members are positive and polite• Some are anxious• Others are simply excited about the task aheadStorming• people start to push against the boundaries• a conflict between team members• People may work in different ways
Norming• people start to resolve their differences• appreciate colleagues' strengths• respect authority as a leader• team members know one another better• develop a stronger commitment to the team goal
Performing• people who join or leave won't disrupt performance• hard work leads• delegate towards workAdjourning• project teams exist for only a fixed period• even permanent teams may be disbanded • developed close working relationships
Prepare a team for change• take time to analyze • to involve the entire team in this process• conduct meeting• discuss positive and negative implications• provide a reason to adopt the change
Continue : Prepare team for change• create a shared understanding with team• allow employees to propose alternatives in change process• assess potential barriers and resistance
Important point in change• communication skills are paramount• solid understanding of the human issues• unite of employees, managers, and executives to work together• a measure of control over the implementation
