PLEASE SIGN IN With our building being open to the public, we have begun a new sign-in process for our in-person visitors. This is to help our cleaning staff know what’s been used, as well as for contact tracing, if need be. Please sign in at the prayer desk if you stop in.

ZOOM CAROLING Join us virtually on Thursday, December 17, 2020, 7pm, for Christmas caroling! Although we may not meet and go visiting for carol singing this year, we may gather on zoom! ALL AGES Welcome - gather with some cocoa or tea, maybe a Christmas cookie or two? Join us for an hour of listening to and discussing beautiful renditions of Christmas carols. For the first 45-50 minutes, we'll listen together to traditional carols, reviewing briefly musical elements or the history of each. Then we'll have a 10-15 minute Q&A chat time. Have a favorite carol you'd like on the list? Email Yatidi at the address below. Zoom details will be provided by Sunday, December 13th.

CHRISTMAS MUSIC If you are interested in learning more about participating in our online Christmas music, please email Yatidi before 12/1. Videos are to be completed by December 11th in order to edit and prepare them in time for our online worship.

VIRTUAL CHOIR Everyone at Martin Luther Chapel, please consider joining us for 2 Christmas Hymns: JOY to the World and Silent Night. ALL are Welcome -NOT for Choir only! Write Yatidi and she will send you an accompaniment file and explain the steps to create a video. Your video will be combined with everyone (you will not sing alone) for congregational singing. Think of singing together in worship with glory to God in the Highest, Amen!

CHRISTMAS EVE CONCERT If you have an instrumental or vocal offering for our pre-worship Christmas Eve Concert, please email Yatidi. You can create your own video or plan a time to be filmed at church.

INSTRUMENTAL ACCOMPANIMENT Would you like to play on one of the Christmas hymns (in addition to or instead of playing for the Christmas Eve concert? Please let us know by December 1st.

HOLIDAY WORSHIP SCHEDULE Have you seen our YouTube channel recently? Last Wednesday we up-loaded our first Advent mid-week worship of 2020; this service may be watched at anytime now that it is online. Join us next week for the second! Due to the pandemic, we will not be gathering for a Christmas worship service like prior years in the sanctuary. We have special plans for spreading Advent joy and worshiping from home. More updates will come soon; keep an eye on our website and Good News email.

COMMISSIONING & CAREGIVING OPPORTUNITY Join us Sunday, December 13! Martin Luther Chapel will be commissioning three new Stephen Ministry Leaders: Pastor James, Susan Beyerlein, and Reed Kalso. Please attend by watching on our YouTube channel. Also, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 Martin Luther Chapel will begin a new training class for Ste-phen Ministers. Susan Beyerlein and Reed Kalso will be the trainers for this life-changing course involving 50 hours of instruction utilizing Zoom technology. CARE CARDS SERVICE PROJECT The Spiritual Care and Growth team invites YOU to help us write and send out personalized care cards to members of our congregation that we have not seen in-person within the last few months. There are many different ways to get involved in this service project from the comfort of your own home. Write individual notes to congre-gates and prepare them to be sent out. The church office has postage available for this pro-ject. Alternatively, donations of stamps and stationary (cards) will be accepted as well. HAVEN HOUSE ADVENT COLLECTION Our community partner of several years, Haven House, will not be collecting donations of Christmas gifts this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the families they house are in immediate need of cleaning and hy-giene essentials to keep them running and healthy. The Spiritual Care and Growth Team invites you to drop off donations of the items below at MLC. There will be boxes out for collections in the narthex during this Advent season.
