After leaving Pepin, Wisconsin, Chris and Win entered Minnesota. They

were looking around for where they were going to scamp and saw a St.

Criox County sheriff’s car. Once Win talked to the sheriff, him and Chris went to the county jail with him and stayed the night in one of the cells. The next morning they left from the

jail and got back on the road.

All through calculus Chris was thinking of the postcard from

‘Tricksey.’ After leaving his calculus class, Chris runs into Agent Ward

again. They talked about Mr. Coggans and how he won’t give up. Then Chris calls his parents to make

sure Coggans hasn’t made things financially difficult for his family just
