Introduction• Millwork

– Finish trim or finish woodwork– Wood millwork components

• Shaped using a milling process• Rotating cutting tool forms desired shape

– Plastic and ceramic millwork • Generally extruded or formed into desired shape• Material is pressed or pushed under pressure

through a desired shaped orifice

– Placed at intersection of walls and floors– Generally used for appearance and protection

• Wainscot – Bottom wall material is different from upper

• Chair rail – Traditionally placed horizontally on wall where

chair backs would damage it

room looking at the cabinets– Elevations are two-dimensional

• Height and length are shown in an external view• Depth is shown where cabinets are cut with a cutting

plane establishing the line of sight
