    It gives the illusion of moving images. Visual effects such as wipes, fades, zooms, and

    dissolves are the examples of animation in

    multimedia.

    The most popular animation that is used in multimediaapplication is 2D animation. Its also known as linear animation. Itrefers to a simple object movement on screen.

    Figures are created and/or edited on the computer using 2Dbitmap graphics or created and edited using 2D vector graphics.

    Path Animation A simple animation that

    can be easily learnt andcreated.

    It refers to the movementof an object along a pre-

    determined path. This path could be linear

    or curved lines.
