Ask yourself, “What if?” to get your ideas going

The “What if” question can be anything that you can think up…Just make sure it’s practical.

What If? Continued…

Growing backwards Imagine the life cycle is backwards… You should die first, and get it out of the way. Then you live for 20 years in an old age home and

get kicked out when you're too young. You get a gold watch and then you go to work. You work for 40 years until you're young enough to

enjoy retirement. You go to college and you party until you're ready

for high school. Then you go to grade school; you become a little kid,

you play, you have no responsibilities. You become a little baby; you go back into the womb You spend your last 9 months floating, and you

finish off as a gleam in somebody's eye.

Imagine How Others Would Do It!!!

Think about how someone else would think about or handle a situation.

What would Winston Churchill do? The Three Stooges? Martin Luther King?

Imagine you’re the Idea!!! Imagine you were the

thing you are trying to change.

Example:You’re a box a Fruit Loops

and your box is brown. No one would want to buy you! So what do you do? Add color to the box! Use your imagination!

Stepping Stones!!!

*Using “Stepping Stones” is a great way to work up to things.

*You don’t execute stepping stones,

you launch your thinking from them.

The Problem is Remaining an Artist After Growing Up!

We have to be practical for most of our daily activities-work, school etc.

You can’t hit the imaginary brakes in the car, or do your imaginary homework!

USE PRACTICAL IMAGINARY IDEAS!

Be imaginative, but don’t go overboard.

“First, have a definite, clear

practical ideal; a goal, an objective.

Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends: wisdom, money, materials, and

methods. Third, adjust all your means to that end.”
