CHARIVARI (‘Shahr uh vahr ee’) a loud and elaborate musical celebration

Connect with fans of the fastest growing music genre EDM (Electronic Dance Music). Charivari Detroit 2015 is a FREE Electronic Dance Music Festival showcasing the greatest assembly of the progenitors of Electronic Dance Music. We are looking for sponsors to participate in Charivari Detroit 2015. The success of our 2014 festival necessitated a site change to the larger accommodations of Belle Isle State Park. Belle Isle State Park, designed by the famed New York Central Park designer Frederick Law Olmsted, is the largest city park in the United States and will be the home of this free but priceless musical celebration.

Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and Electronic music festivals have proven to be recognizable marketing forces in the entertainment industry both locally and globally. Historically "Charivari,” a word dating back to the Middle Ages was used to describe a loud public ritual. Join devotees on August 1st and 2nd, 2015 as we evolve the spirit of "Charivari" into a loud and elaborate musical celebration featuring electronic music in all its celebrated forms. In addition to the Charivari festival, we will offer Fallout Shelter, our branded preview and after parties. These late night parties featured in some of the hottest nightspots will be the perfect complement to the days’ activities. WHY

Electronic dance music is the fasting growing music genre today. Electronic Dance Music is the new marketing juggernaut like Rock and Roll and Hip Hop were in their inception. Major corporations have begun to recognize EDM festivals as an excellent platform to gain direct access to hip, active, and technology savvy fans of EDM.

Charivari, born of a need to showcase the creators and the newest innovators of EDM will feature world class DJs, who perform in front of 2.5 million worldwide fans annually. The DJ’s have a growing social media following of over 250,000, who zealously track each DJ’s persona, events, music and attend their performances.

The Charivari Detroit Audience is comprised of 57% male and 43% female and is multicultural, active, trend setting, educated, community invested, health conscience, and multigenerational. PHILOSOPHY

Pure Sound... If you are a DJ you long for it, you chase it and when you find it, you caudle and nurture it, delicately, even as you drive it as hard as possible, using it to hammer and push your true medium, the dancers, they are the clay, the canvas—the sound is the tool, the brush you paint with!

If you are a dancer, it can engulf, transport, elate, it can free! You chase it and when you find it manipulated and controlled by a sure hand, you know it, you remember it always. When you were in it, you hoped it would never end! When it is gone, you are sated, spent yet still refreshed.

Charivari Detroit 2014 weekend was the greatest assembly of Detroit based talent ever! The new event line up is scheduled to be announced Black Friday 2014 evening and we plan to stack the deck with even more surprises and talent in August 2015! Where other Detroit electronic music shows may concentrate on importing talent to a city already flush with the pioneers of the genre—Charivari Detroit did the parabolic opposite! Charivari Detroit 2014 was first and foremost a celebration of our city and it’s contributions to EDM. Charivari Detroit 2015 will be bigger and better!
