In 1822, His family moved from Kent to Camden Town in London.

Where his father got imprisoned for being in debt.

To be able to help his family, Charles quit school and began work at a blacking warehouse

Later on he wrote sketches by boz which was a collection of articles that he had written for Monthly Magazine and the London Evening Chronicle. And went on to write his well known novels we all know today.
