Top fashion designers in Zurich to enjoy four days of fashionOctober 07, 2010 (Switzerland)
The inaugural Charles Vögele Fashion Days will commence in Zurich this season from November 3-6, 2010. Over the course of four days nearly 25
Swiss designers will present their collections alongside some of today’s top international designers including Missoni, Kaviar Gauche, Alexander Wang, Guido Maria Kretschmer and Jason Wu.
This international spectacle will be open to the public - tickets for the individual designer runway shows will be available for purchase in various categories. The title sponsor Charles Vögele will be inaugurating the Opening Night with three fashion shows: Casa Blanca, Lingerie and the collection „Biaggini Violett“, designed by Penélope and Mònica Cruz.

purchase their tickets for the very first Charles Vögele Fashion Days Zurich. Ticket holders will receive access to the various designer runway shows taking place in the historic industrial hall “Puls 5” as well as a VIP experience in the event’s two story hospitality tent on the Turbinenplatz.
Title sponsor Charles Vögele will be inaugurating the Fashion Days on Wednesday, the 3rd of November. A major highlight will be the launch of their new brand „Biaggini Violett“, which will premiere the presentation of its collection for the audience of the Fashion Days. The attractive kid’s collection by Charles Vögele will close the event with a fashion show.
Kaviar Gauche presents the „annabelle Award“During Charles Vögele Fashion Days, the Annabelle award will be presented for the seventh year, to an esteemed alumnus of a Swiss fashion school. This award, presented by the famous German label Kaviar Gauche will give one winner the opportunity to experience a one year internship at Kaviar Gauche in Berlin. Behind the feminine and avant-garde designs of Kaviar Gauche are top designer’s Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl, who have been noted for their designs of understated elegance and adored by actresses and models such as Heike Makatsch, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and many others.
Both designers having had extensive experience in the industry, Johanna Kühl who had the pleasure of working in the atelier of Vivienne Westwood and later with the Parisian designer Martine Sitbon while Alexandra Fischer-Roehler presented her collection at the “Moët & Chandon Fashion Debut”, and was awarded the “Prix de Stilisme Femme” by Elber Albaz, the head designer of Lanvin, bringing strong fashion for this industry to the unique competition.
Missoni – Master of defile patternsTied to aesthetic innovation and the invention of techniques that have changed the very identity of knitwear forever, Missoni is one of the world’s best-known and most popular fashion and design names, and the winner of countless awards. The Missoni style reflects the successful venture of a husband-and-wife team: after they married in 1953, Tai and Rosita decided to start a knitwear business that went on to become an icon of Italian fashion in the mid- Sixties.

CHARLES VÖGELE FASHION DAYS IN ZURICH
new york, milan, paris, berlin - and now zurich! the charles vögele fashion days are arriving and everybody is excited about it because everybody can be part of it! unlike fashion week in paris where only editors, buyers and celebrities are invited, everybody who is interested in fashion can attend the shows.
from november 3rd on, fashion will be the center of attention in zurich during four days. one of the most expected show is the show of the american designer alexander wang on thursday evening. he won the swiss textiles award last year. who will win the the award this year? jason wu, mary katrantzou or damir doma?
one of the intersting swiss newcomer is aluar balagan. the designers raul egloff alcaide and laura lazura are behind this label. laura lazura is known in zurich as the co-founder of the menswear and style gallery fashionslave. the fashion show is going to be on thursday morning with other new swiss designers.
penelope cruz and her sister monica will be here and bring some hollywood-glamour to the city! they both designed for the charles vögele brands biaggini violett, casa blanca and lingerie. the gorgeous sisters will present their designs at the opening night on wednesday. this will truly be one of the highlights of the fashion days!
i'm also really excited that the italian label missoni and kaviar gauche from berlin are going to present their designs in zurich. i'm a big fan of the missoni pattern and i love the family-tradition of the label.
as you can see the event is going to be BIG for a small city like zurich.. and who knows? maybe in a few years fashionistas from all over the world are coming to zurich for the fashion days.

Charles Vögele Group, one of Europe's leading vertical fashion companies, is title sponsor of the inaugural Fashion Days Zurich. The company has signed a
three-year contract with the event's organizer, International Management Group (Schweiz) AG. André Maeder, CEO of Charles Vögele Group: "Fashion Days Zurich provides a great platform for presenting fashion shows, which are normally only accessible to industry specialists, to a broad audience. The international focus of this event is one of the main reasons we decided to sign up as title sponsor."Between 3 and 6 November 2010, up-and-coming talents and internationally known designers will present their spring/summer 2011 collections. The opening night of Fashion Days Zurich will feature a fashion event staged by Charles Vögele Group. A particular highpoint will be the launch of a new brand. This new brand's collection will be presented in public for the first time during the Fashion Days. The event will close with a fashion show centred on Charles Vögele's attractive children's wear.The prestigious independent "Swiss Textiles Award" and "annabelle Award" will be presented during the Charles Vögele Fashion Days Zurich. The Charles Vögele Fashion Days Zurich will be held every year in November.

10, 2010 It's easier to stretch jeans horizontally than vertically.Those perfect jeans may not be so perfect after an accidental run in the dryer or a couple of extra pounds. However, there's hope for the shrunken beauties in the closet. Follow this guide to stretch denim jeans so that they're back in wearable form once more.Difficulty: EasyInstructions
C. Things You'll Need:
Water Spray bottle

Put on the jeans to distinguish which sections require stretching. The easiest sections of the garment to stretch are the bottom and thighs, since the fabric weave stretches horizontally. Areas such as the waistband are pretty hard to resize because of their composition.

Fill the water bottle with lukewarm water, and set the nozzle to a medium spray.

To stretch the buttock section of the jeans, spray the rear until it's damp with water. Next, get ready to "knee" the garment: Bend your leg, fit one cheek over the kneecap, and pull with a strong and sustained motion for several seconds. Repeat this with the other side. Put the jeans on when finished.

For the thigh, spray the denim with water and put the jeans on completely. It feels very uncomfortable for a moment, but the clammy feeling will lessen as the water warms from the body's heat.

For both areas, take about 10 minutes to move around energetically while wearing the jeans. Do lunges, squats and kicks to stretch out the fabric. After a bit, the tight fabric will yield and reshape to suit your body once again.

If your jeans have shrunken lengthwise, it's possible to stretch them somewhat. However, the lengthwise grain of denim often doesn't possess much stretch on the vertical. The best bet for this is to pull the jeans and secure the garment at both ends to dry.
After stretching the jeans, it's wise to get as many wearings as possible in before the next cleansing. Don't submerge stretched jeans in water soon after stretching. To keep the shape, try dry-cleaning. Never machine-dry stretched jeans.

We usually buy at SM (where the salespeople know their stuff, believe me they'll explain ALL the features of ALL toys!) and at Toy Kingdom where choices are available.

For Drinks - Gerber's apple/pear juice water :)

1) WHAT IS YOUR CHILD'S FAVORITE TOY? WHY? WHERE TO BUY? -Dumbo the Elephant and Elly the elephant. Because elephant are gentle creature and they have sense of family not like other animals. She loves everything from the elephant, the nose, ears. Wherever she goes she loves to touch, to hold anything that has elephant in it. You can but elephant everywhere inside the department store.
2) WHAT TOY STORE DO YOU RECOMMEND, WHERE? WHY? -I refer Toy R Us and Toy Kingdom. You can choose toys of many ages.
3) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KID-FRIENDLY RESTAURANT? WHY? LOCATION?-IBig Red Barn because they provide play area for the kids and sometime they host a magic show for kids while eating but also we love kid-friendly restaurant with diaper changing area and high-chair for kids.

5) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KIDS PLAY AREA? WHY? LOCATION?-Fun Ranch- Indoor playground for security issue and its give protection to the skin against harmful sunlight. We loved the big slides of Fun Ranch its because gives thrill and give sense of adventur . The area is very colorful and lots of activities. Located at Pasig near Tiendesitas.

To top her list, I guess Lujean's fave toy would be her "biggie bear"...she had it since she was born and can't sleep without it--we got it from Watsons.
Next to the list, her super-dooper collection of emply cartons, plastic bottles, straws, plastic cups, disposable spoon & fork, canisters, boxes of products that we use around the house--she knows what she's got...we can't throw any of it unless it's super broken/crumpled.
Last siguro would be her educational toys from leap frog, chicco and nick, jr. Where to buy? SM's Toy Kingdom or Toy 'r Us...and from other parents who sells toys because they got so many...I don't mind 2nd hands as long as they're in good, perfect condition!

Rustan's, SM's Toy Kingdom and Toy 'r Us!. Why? Very good sales people but sometimes expensive but worth it toys. Greenhills tiangge & 168...Why? you can ask for big discounts. For books, I buy @ booksales.

Any restaurant that has high chairs...we basically ask that question first before we dine-in! And those restaurants that give out coloring activities for kids...I guess Italianni's a family fave!

Tiangges who sells export over-runs! As much as we want to buy Lujean some "branded" clothes from a specialty shop, it'll not be practical...sandali lang nagagamit. We're a regular customer of Regina's Gift Shop @ Greenhills! They have super cheap shirts, undies and PJ's! For the accessories, Lujean & I make our own...buy beads @ Divisoria or Carolina's.

The comforts of our home and the village's playpark..i guess! Based on the reviews, maybe after we go to Active Fun/Fun Ranch on her birthday, she'll like that place, too!

There is no particular favorite for my 3 year old Clyde, it really depends on his mood.. But he loves to play toy guns, cause he wanted to be a Policeman “daw” (scary, haha!). And at his age, he already held a real gun! That’s the start of his fondness on guns..

Clyde’s not into school right now, but he’s
so fond of watching cartoons in the afternoon after his nap. He loves to sing (he’s got his own microphone!) and dance all the time. And of course, PLAY!

Johnson’s Milk bath for his soap and shampoo (it really smells good even until midnight)

Cookies are healthy
Kokokrunch and Milo balls (this are his chichirya, luv to munch on it! doesn’t want to put milk on because it softens after a couple of minutes, and he doesn’t like that, haha!)
home-cooked pasta (kids luv pasta as always)
waffle and sandwiches
home-made pizza
Yakult (we love it so much! we always have it in our ref)

My Son he's a teenager so he almost decides what he is wearing sometimes he ask my approval but he likes Bench a lot kasi affordable daw and comfy and in fashion. I like going to Rustan's Makati kasi may play area for children so my daughter stays there while I shop.5) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KIDS PLAY AREA? WHY? LOCATION?Fun Ranch one stop shop na sya. Riverbanks (biking) and any fast food restaurant na may play area. So kahit late we go to Eastwood to watch movie. My Doctor recommends to give my kids yogurt/yoghurt kasi it will help them eat a lot more kasi medyo choosy sila it is also good for their health. Instead of giving them junk food sometimes I give them cheese instead. I introduce talbos ng kamote for Iron and malunggay in Tinola for vit. B
