    Re: Chart of Depreciation

    Dear expert

1.if your company code is having more than one currency then you will have to maintain that many

    depreciation areas

2.all of your company codes are in the same country and are subject to the same legal requirements

for asset valuation, meaning that you only need one chart of depreciation.

    3. Yes ! Chart of Depreciation is defined at client level and therefore 15 different company codes can

use them(company codes are in the s ame country& same currency)

Charts of depreciation are used in order to m anage various legal requirements for the depreciation

and valuation of assets. These charts of depreciation are usually country-specific and are defined

independently of the other organizational units

    Re: Chart of Depreciation

Technically it is poss ible to any number of companies codes in different countries.

But, the legal laws in every country is different from each other. You need to understand the

requirements of each country accordingly you need to assign the chart of depreciation to the

company code. You may need different depreciation areas in each country, therefore, it is advisable

to create a separate chart of depreciation for each country. It is also expected the legal laws in aparticular country can change any time. If you assign the same chart of depreciation to the company

code, tomorrow, if you want to make any changes, it would become rigid. Therefore, always keep your

    configuration flexible.
