Taxation:    A means by which government finance their expenditure

by imposing charges on citizens and corporate entities. Governments use taxation to encourage or discourage

certain economic decisions. For example, reductions in taxable personal (or household) income by the amount paid as interest on home mortgages loan results in greater construction activity, and generates more jobs.

Examples: Sales tax, property tax, and income tax.

Borrowing Money Using others money to benefit you with

intentions of paying them back. Examples: Loans, mortgages.

Regulating Commerce Intrastate, or domestic, commerce is trade

that occurs solely within the geographic borders of one state. As it does not move across state lines, intrastate commerce is subject to the exclusive control of the state.
