In the French region of Franche Comté, South of Vesoul, is Chateau de Gressoux. A 400 year old Chateau with

a rich history.

The Region is very well suited for longer distance bikeriding. With rolling hills, short climbs, forrest and

gravelroads, you can choose what kind of biking you like to do; Road; gravel; offroad; MTB; or our favourite:

all of it on one bike.

We welcome the guests on Sunday for the cycling weeks, and on Thursday for the long weekends.

The Chateau is situated on a 280 metre high hill, surrounded by farmland, some closeby villages and two

forrests. Theatre director/ Filmmaker/ Musician Bert Barten is the host of the Chateau.

We have an ecological swimmingpool with a woodstove Hot tub; a sauna; a view to kill; a yoga and meditation

chapel; film and fireplace room (petit Carré).

The Chateau has 6 rooms with 15 places to sleep; showers; an open kitchen.

It is max 3 hours from Euro Airport Basel by car; one hour by car from TGV station Besançon. 7 hours from

Amsterdam, 3 hours from Trainstations of Basel and Freiburg.

In 2016 we will organize a monthly bikeweek/trainingcamp and on special request a long weekend: with an

experienced roadcaptain: Stefan Vis.

The weeks will have a very open character. To give you an idea of a day: Breakfast; Ride 60-120 km; Coffee and

cake; ride back to the Chateau; Lunch; swim/hot tub/shower/relax/Yoga or a visit to the area. Dinner with a

sunset; epic cycling movie in Petit Carré and photo/film shot during the day.

During the Bikeweeks we have experienced cooks that with Vegan, sports and nutritional skills needed for a

good, healthy and powerfull daily menu.

Gravelroads around Chateau de Gressoux

Sundays during the day we welcome our guests and we depart at the end of the afternoon for a short ride

to loosen the legs a bit. Wednesdays we have a free day. You can visit Vesoul; The Emmaüs thrift store; The

Belfort fortress or just stay at the chateau. Saturdays we like to invite the local riders to come and ride with us

for a social ride.

Its also possible for Professionals and teams to prepare here for their season or specific races. There is a

Wattbike present, and the Vosges mountains are within 40 km. The Jura is about 60 km, the Swiss Alps are

withing driving range.

For third party organized ride weeks or group stopovers we can make a custom plan.

We welcome the guests on Sunday for the cycling weeks, and on Thursday for the long weekends.

We offer our bikeweeks from 700 euro and the long weekend from 450 per person. A support vehicle can be

present at the rate of 100 euro per day.

For the best experience we start to offer rental Gravel type bikes, these bikes are designed to be fast on the

road, but are also abled to take on the gravel and forrest roads.

Minimum 10/ Maximum 20 persons per week/weekend.
