    Checking of lifting & haulage tackles, wire ropes, slings, D-shackles, etc. are being done

    before use.

    Certified wire ropes, slings, etc. for SWL should be used & SWL capacity to be written on

    each equipments.

    Pully blocks should be properly checked and used.

    Centre of gravity and load transfer at slinging points should be properly ascertained

    before lifting.

    CHECKLIST FOR LIFTING TACKLES.

    The shackles, pins worn out more than 10% of the original dia are to be replaced.

    Crane should not be allowed to work near by over head lines.

    Tag line should be used for guiding while lifting the loads.

    Sharp edges can be avoided. From breakage of wire rope, etc.

    Approach for the working & moving area should be freee from men, material etc.

    Above checklist points and other related safety points for safe execution of this job are

    taken care and will be maintained till completion.

    The wire rope clamps should be sufficiently provided in the proper direction.

    Over loading & impact loading should be totally avoided.

    Crossing, twisting, kinking or knoting of chains & wire ropes should be avoided.

    Alteration, welding etc. should be avoided in the lifting Hooks, Shackles,Pins, etc.
