OTHER WALL FINISHES

Many houses are now designed with several different wall finishes – you don’t have to use a different colour and tone for each one but this is a good opportunity to create some visual variation to your scheme. A 3D model of your home can help you to visualize how the colours and tones will work together on different substrates so this may be a good investment if you are confused about colour placement.

TIPS

Use the NOTES section to jot down finishes, website addresses and pricing etc. Consider whether you want a gloss, low sheen or matt finish and note it here.

Paint large boards with two coats of your chosen paint colour and view outside on your block of land – ensure they relate to each other and are the right depth to stand up to the aspect of

your house and the bright sunshine.

Take the time to visit brick and roofing suppliers so that you can see large samples of your chosen style and colour.

Ask for samples from suppliers and group everything together on a large board to check that you are happy with the overall effect.

FINALLY I have comprehensive posts on my blog with lots more information on most of these topics so don’t forget to browse the site if you need more detailed information and

inspiration.
