• Remove the previous dressing and apply CHEMSPUNGE® Wound Dressing.

METHODOLOGY

• Secure with a Crepe Bandage or adhesive strapping.

• Do not use pressure stockings while commencing treatment with CHEMSPUNGE®. Use a normal crepe bandage.

• Dressing changes when saturated until the wound stabilizes. There after, 24 to 48 hourly.

• In the case of heavy exudating wounds, it is advisable to change dressings frequently until the wound condition stabilizes.

• In the case of 2nd degree burns, no black scab will be visualized, only slough. Thus no skin graft is necessary after desloughing 2nd degree areas.
