their race number and chip timing
device. Please arrive before 09:00 as
registration will close and we cannotguarantee it will be possible to obtain
your race number after this time.
The 2014 race is full, so on-the-
day entries are not possible. There will be no re-selling of
numbers and all number swops
should have been notified by email to
our chip timing company Full On
Sport using the following email
address [email protected] by5pm on Wednesday 18thJune.10K entrants will find an envelope
containing a race number and chip
timing device with their full name on
the front on tables in the School Hall.
Please securely attach your chip to
your running shoe and take time to
complete the medical and
identification information on thereverse side of your race number. If
you have an existing medical problem
which might require special
attention, such as epilepsy, diabetes or
a history of heart problems, please
mark the front of your race number
worn on your vest with a red cross
and write details, including any
medication, on the reverse.
Supervised kit storage is available
here, with all items left at owners
risk. The Course Director, Medical
Director and Physio, should you wish
to talk with them, will be located
either in the School Hall or on the
school field (depending on weather
conditions).
The younger runners 1K Fun Run
has proved to be incredibly popular
and there is NO option to enter this
event on the day. There is a separate
classroom on the school site for the
pre registered 1K runners and signs,
or marshals on site, will happily direct
you to collect race numbers for the
Fun Run if you require help. We
would like to take this opportunity toremind you that if you have a child
entered in the 1K whilst we have
significant numbers of marshals
involved, including staff from the
school, your child is your
responsibility throughout.
We have changing facilities but
unfortunately no showering facilities
at Race HQ. Toilets are located bothinside and outside the hall with
separate toilet facilities for entrants
in the 1K Fun Run located next to
the 1K registration classroom. We
also have a mass warm in the school
playground at 09:00, lasting
approximately 10 minutes by Ross
Elliott, a fitness trainer and one of
our sponsors. All entrants are
welcome to join in!
Please remember that your race
number and chip timing device
are programmed with your
details and on NO account
should you swop or change
either your number or chip with
someone else. Any details that
require amending can be done
prior to the race at RaceRegistration in the School hall.
The accuracy of our results is
dependent on the information
contained on your number and
chip and any runner who does
not abide by these rules will be
removed from the race results.

Start & Finish Details
Start
The 10K starts approximately 130m
from the gates outside of the Primary
School at 09:30 and the 1K directly
outside the school at approximately
09:35. We ask all entrants to be in
position ten minutes before, to allowfor a prompt start. Please observe
the directions of the start marshals.
We request that all entrants place
themselves in an appropriate time
zone once at the start to prevent
barging at the starting signal. Late
arrivals will need to start from the
back of the grid, regardless of
expected time.
Finish
Although we are
using
electronic
timing
equipment
and video
for the
10K,
marshals at
the finish will
also take your
time and finish
position. This is
purely a back up, but it is
vital for the accuracy of results that
you line up in the order you crossed
the finishing line. Please leave the
area at the end of the funnel as soon
as youve been recorded. The
marshals will be unable to tell you
your time or position, so please dont
distract them. There will be a Race
clock by the finish line so use this for
an immediate guide if necessary. Real
time results for the 10K will be
available at Race HQ and on Full on
Sports website later in the day
(fullonsport.co.uk). Finally we ask
that you do not leave the finish pens
until a marshal has removed your
timing chip and dont forget your
goody bag and bottled water! First
Aid is also available here.
Please read the medical advice page
carefully. First Aid posts are situated
at the school site and at 5K as well as
medical support at the start / finishareas. If you experience difficulty
stop running and seek out the
nearest marshal and request
help. A vehicle will be available to
pick up entrants who are unable to
complete the course and will return
them to Race HQ. If you do drop
out it is important you assist us
by reporting your name and race
number to one of ourmarshals.
Our trophy
presentations will
take place at
11:15 in the
School
playground at
Race HQ, This
year, we will beawarding 10K
trophies to our
fastest three men
and women and also for
age category winners, so
runners will be eligible for more than
one prize, please stay and support the
winners. There will be plenty to keep
you occupied at Race HQ, including
teas and coffees, delicious cakes, abarbeque, live music, an event
photographer and a bouncy castle, if
you have the energy!

10K 2014
Jason will start the Yeo Valley-sponsored
1K fun run, which commences
immediately after the start of the10K
race. The 1K is a great opportunity for
children to have fun and support the
local community whilst exercising and
with Jason's support this year will
definitely be one to remember!
Jason is a keen supporter of Team
SuperSchools, which gives
schoolchildren the opportunity to be
inspired by meeting an Olympian or
international sports star. Pupils have fun
taking part in exercise, which in turns
encourages them to achieve their best,
whether that be in sport, music,
academic studies or other fields. For
