APPLICATION PROCEDURE
What you will receive
• 2019 GCE O-level Results Slip
• 2019 GCE O-level Certificate
• Form A (sealed mail pouch)
– Aggregates for JC/ MI/ Polytechnics/ ITE
– Eligibility for various courses in JC/ MI/ Polytechnics/
ITE
– JAE PIN for application on JAE Internet System
– If lost, go to CSC, MOE
• JAE booklet
• CCA Certificates
• ECG Pamphlets and Brochures
Exam Certificate – Check particulars
• Candidates may request for a re-print of their certificate only if they have found that their name were printed wrongly due to misspelling.
• There will be an amendment fee of $50 per certificate.
• Inform Mr Timmy Ng/ Mr Low Wai Hoong by end 31 Jan if an amendment is needed. Payment to be made to G.O.
Appeal for review of results
• Closing date for appeal of results: 17 January 2020.
• You will receive the outcome of your appeal through your school by 21 February 2020
• All appeals must be submitted through the school.
• Fee: $112.35 per subject (inclusive of 7% GST)
• Approach Mr Timmy Ng/ Mr Low Wai Hoong (Staffroom 2) if you wish to submit an appeal for review of results.
Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE)
JAE is a centralised posting exercise for students to apply for admission to courses offered in:
•Junior Colleges (JC)
•Millennia Institute (MI)
•Polytechnics
•Institute of Technical Education (ITE)
JAE Registration
•Open for 5 calendar days
•Start: Mon, 13 Jan 2020, 3pm
•End: Fri, 17 Jan 2020, 4pm

• Complete the Worksheet (pg. (ii) of JAE booklet) before accessing the JAE-IS.
• Make full use of the 12 choices.

Posting Results of JAE
Released on Tuesday, 4 February 2020

Posting Results of JAE
• Applicants posted to Junior Colleges
and Millennia Institute are to report to
their posted institutions on Wednesday, 5
February 2020.
• Applicants posted to polytechnics and ITE
will receive a letter from their respective
institutions on the enrolment details.
DSA-JC / EAE
Note
•Students successfully admitted to a school through the DSA-JC / EAE will not be able to participate in JAE.
•They will be informed of the school they been admitted to under the DSA-JC/EAE together with the results.
Progression Pathways - Sec 4NA 2019
Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)• PFP-eligible students will receive a copy of Form P which
contains a unique password.
• Application via website:
https://pfp.polytechnic.edu.sg/PFP/index.html
• Application period: 13 Jan, 2pm to 17 Jan, 4pm.
• Posting results will be release on Tuesday, 21 Jan, 2pm through the PFP website.
• Accept, reject, or appeal for a change of course by 4.00pm on Thursday, 23 January 2020
• The last day of school for Secondary 5 students who have accepted a place in the PFP will be on Friday, 31 January 2020.
Progression Pathways - Sec 4NA 2019
Direct-Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)
• 4NA students who are newly eligible can submit their DPP applications online via http://www.ite.edu.sg/wps/portal/intake.
• Application period: 2.00pm on Monday, 13 January 2020 to 11.59pm on Friday, 17 January 2020.
• Posting results will be released on 9.00am on Tuesday, 21 January 2020 through the DPP application portal.
• Accept or reject the DPP offer by 11.59pm on Thursday, 23 January 2020.
• Report to ITE on Thursday, 23 January 2020, upon acceptance of their DPP course offer
Offered DPP and PFP?
• Students who accepted a place in the
earlier application phase of the DPP in
December but have now decided to take
up a PFP offer will need to apply to ITE to
withdraw from the DPP first, before they
are able to take up the PFP offer.
Repeat 4E or 5N
Retention Criteria
• obtained not more than 2 GCE 'O' Level passes (excluding CCA) and an aggregate of 44 points or less in 5 subjects (excluding CCA).
OR
• obtained 3 or more GCE 'O' Level passes (excluding CCA) but do not qualify for admission to JCs, MI or Polytechnics.
• Approach Mrs Goh Bee Hoon (VP) if you wish to repeat Sec 4E/5N for more details.
Repeat 4E or 5N
Retention Criteria
• Will not be more than 4 years overage for Singapore citizens/PR OR not be more than 2 years overage for International students.
• Had attempted the GCE O-level exams for the first time in 2019.
