being?• Children are a barometer of poverty.
• Childhood poverty can have lifelong
consequences.

• There is a connection between
sustained action in communities and a
focus on children and the most
vulnerable.
• Investment in children at an early age
can generate huge returns to society
Perspectives of Child Well Being• Child well-being is informed by four different
perspectives:
1. Theological:
who children are?
2. Developmental:
how they develop?
3. Ecological :
what affects their development?
4. Political:
who has responsibility for enabling them to develop fully?

Social responsibility is an ethical theory that an entity, be it an organization or individual, has an obligation to act to benefit society at
large.
