    Welcome to the Children, Young People and Social Care Analytical newsletter.This publication is produced quarterly by the CYPSC analytical services unit withinthe Scottish Government.

    The newsletter serves to highlight articles, publications, reports, news and eventsthat we have found to be particularly interesting over the past three months and thathave relevance to the children, young people and social care policy area. We focus

    primarily on content relevant to Scotland and the UK.

    For each item included, we provide web-links to sources and also mark each itemshould it be linked to a particular policy area(s) for ease of reference. A topic key isprovided on each page.

    The newsletter is primarily targeted at Scottish Government staff but is also

    available externally via the CYPSC web page and Scottish Governmentpublications list. Please feel free to circulate.

    We want this newsletter to be useful to you and would therefore welcome anyfeedback that would help to make the newsletter even better. Please use the
