Chinese Made Easy consists of 5 books, designed to emphasize the development of communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The primary goal of this series is to help the learners use Chinese to exchange information and to communicate their ideas. The unique characteristic of this series is the use of the Communicative Approach adopted in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This approach also takes into account the differences between Chinese and Romance languages, in that the written characters in Chinese are independent of their pronunciation.

Chinese Made Easy has two levels: level 1 – Book 1, 2 and 3; and level 2 – Book 4 and 5. After completing this series, learners will acquire a vocabulary of approximately 1,700 Chinese characters and several thousand phrases.

Chinese Made Easy for Kids adopts a new approach to teaching Chinese as a second/ foreign language. It is designed for primary school students who start learning Chinese as total beginners.

Chinese Made Easy for Kids (Books 1 to 4) is the foundation course accompanying the series Chinese Made Easy (Books 1 to 5). Each book consists of one textbook with a CD and one workbook. After completing this series, students will be able to write from memory approximately 100 simple Chinese characters, recognize over 600 Chinese characters and develop listening and speaking skills from an early age. Teaching tools including flash cards and posters are also available. With 39 picture cards, 135 words cards and 23 sheets of posters, young learners will study Chinese in an interesting and easy way.

The focus of this series is:- basic knowledge of pinyin- basic knowledge of strokes and stroke order of characters- listening and speaking skills- a lively and free learning atmosphere of Chinese language learning through rhymes, pictures and story-telling- tasks and activities designed for the target age group- up-to-date topics relevant to primary school students

The primary goal of Chinese Made Easy for Kids is to help total beginners, particularly primary school students, to build a solid foundation for learning Chinese as a second/foreign language. This series emphasize the development of communication skills in listening and speaking.

Chinese Made Easy for Kids is composed of 4 colour textbooks (Books 1 to 4), each supplemented by a CD and a workbook.

French, German, Russian, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese Editions are also available.

Joint publishing (H.K.) Co. Ltd (JPC) was established in 1948 in Hong Kong as an amalgamation of three bookstores well-known in cultural circles in China during the 1930's and 1940's. At the beginning, JPC mainly engaged in distribution of books published in Mainland China. Since its establishment, JPC has published more than 3000 titles, and adds to its collection an average of more than a hundred new titles annually. It continually seeks to maintain a high standard of manuscript selection for publication, and to seeks works on new subjects of interest to readers. Its series of books on Hong Kong and books targeting young readers have won praise throughout the Hong Kong reading community. Copyright transactions with more than a hundred publishing houses around the world have been concluded while at the same time, it has purchased Chinese copyrights of quality books from Mainland China, North America and Europe.
