Arts and Crafts Cupid’s Candy Bouquets Would you like to be more creative than just giving the traditional gift of a flower bouquet for Valentine’s Day? During this class you will learn how to provide your friends with an edible gift bouquet. What better way to bond with friends and family of all ages than immersing yourself in a bushel of candy treats? Traditional candy bouquets could cost you an arm and a leg, but thanks to the expertise of a local bouquet enthusiast you will learn how to make these baskets at a fraction of the cost! Thai Cuisine Cooking Learn how to prepare and cook traditional dishes from Thailand with Instructor Terri Wilson, owner of Mahli Thai Asian Cuisine in Downtown Chippewa Falls. The class will explore Thai culture, ingredients, and partici-pate in preparing a few dishes. Terry will give demos and instruction for the first hour, then students will pre-pare ingredients and cook with help from the instructor. Indoor AM Walking The Chippewa Falls Middle School is open for anyone who wants to walk indoors Monday through Friday from 6:15 - 7:30 AM (excluding non-school and snow days). Walkers registered with Community Education will receive a pass good September through May with a calendar and hallway map with mileage. Enter through door #5 (by the swimming pool). Restorative Yoga Suitable for all levels, Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing and revitalizing practice that encourages rest and resets the body, mind and spirit. Deep relaxation is achieved when the body feels it is in a nurturing and supportive environment. To create this environment, we will use a variety of yoga props in a soothing atmosphere to help the body release stress. Classes will be held onsite at New Day Yoga & Wellness, and taught by owner/head instructor Linda Foster, E-RYT500. If you don't have a mat, you can rent one from New Day Yoga and Wellness for only $1.00 per session. Scrap & Stamp Extravaganza!

Voyagers Community Learning Center Scrap and Stamp

Friday, February 7th, noon to 10pm - Saturday, February 8th, 8am to 8pm Sunday, February 9th, 8am to 4pm

If you are a scrapbooker or stamper and need a place to get away to catch up on your scrapbooking, please consider our Voyagers Scrap and Stamp event. Get some new ideas, share your creative ideas, and have fun. What do I need to bring? Bring whatever supplies you may have. We are in the process of contacting a consultant from a scrapbooking company, but do not have anyone confirmed yet. What about food and drinks? We will provide the main course, Bar-B-Q’s on Friday at 6pm, Pizza on Saturday at 4pm, and Sub Sandwiches on Sunday at noon. We also have a drink machine that sells coke products and water for $1.25. Guests are encouraged to bring snacks to share. This may include veggies, fruits, dips, chips, pretzels and desserts. We have a refrigerator and microwave that are available for use. What sort of space is available? Each guest is provided a chair and a 6 to 8 foot table. If you would like to bring a lamp for better lighting, feel free to do so. Will there be Music? Movies? Each room is equipped with an LCD/DVD player, and there will be various chick flicks available. If you have a chick flick you would like to share, please bring it. Sometimes people may want a break from movies and radios are available. Who will I sit with? To coordinate reserved seating, please indicate on the registration sheet the names of friends you would like to be seated near. Then, remind your friends to register and indicate the same seating preference. If you are coming alone, please indicate that and we will try to match you up with someone. Will there be an instructor? This is not an instructional class. It is an opportunity to work on your own projects. Although Cricuts will be provided, guests need to be able to use the machines on their own Is Wi-fi available? Wi-fi is available starting at 4:30 pm on Friday, as well as all day on Saturday and Sunday.
