Program Happenings: Last Quarter in Review
So much has happened in such a short time, here at Choices for Change! We have made some renovations to program, attended some wonderful outings, made some fantastic crafts, and cooked some amazing food! Choices for change got a makeover! Spring cleaning and a fresh coat of paint spruced things up nicely. We have also added three new staff to our awesome team. Ruthann Brant, Julia VanDoren, and Victoria Simpson. Each of our new staff brings their own talents to the Program.
For Ruthann, it’s music, we often play music trivia, and the participants love to sing. Julia loves to cook, and bake. Julia is in charge of this year’s Mother’s Day Bake Sale. Proceeds from the sale, go towards a special trip for the participants. Victoria is our Arts and Crafts guru. Victoria works hard to make sure we have hand crafted decorations for all seasons and holidays. The new hours of operation are from 9:00am—5:00pm. In hopes to benefit those caregivers that may also work full time jobs, and it allows us to spend more time on outings.
Outings This Past Quarter: This quarter, we found ourselves visiting many different places, including
some favorites. We ate lunch at Spaghetti Ware House, Johnny Angels, and
one of our favorites; Buffalo Wild Wings. We took a shopping trip to Destiny
USA. We attended the Salt City Dog show, and we played a few games at
Starlite Lanes.

Movie Group:

One of the most popular activities here
at program is; Movie Group. The
participants get together and vote on a
Red Box movie that they would like to
see. Then we get together in the media
room and enjoy some snacks while we
have a movie theatre like experience.
Craft Corner:
We have been hard at work here at Choices for Change. We make crafts for every season and holiday.
Here are a few of our favorites.

I saddens my heart to announce
that we have lost one of our
participants unexpectedly. PW
passed away in the hospital on
March, 28th 2017. PW has been a
member of our program for almost
a decade and in that time he has
touched every single staff and
participant. PW loved to laugh and
make jokes with his peers. He
raced RC cars and loved to watch
NASCAR and Dirt Racing.
PW will be greatly missed by all of
us here at Choices for Change.
May you rest in peace my old
friend.
In Loving Memory
