Colors for your Skin Tone

• Colors in clothes can enhance skin tone• Brown, yellow, blue and red pigments– Usually the lack of brown pigment

• Underside of your wrist– Blue undertone = cool colors– Yellow undertones = warm colors

Colors for your hair & eyes

• Can change the appearance of personal coloring

• Emphasize in 2 ways1. Tints or shades of your hair/eyes

– Beige/tan emphasize brown hair

2. Complementary Colors– Green Shirt with red hair

• Green makes hazel greener• Blue makes blue bluer

Winter

• Most popular • Dark Eyes & Hair• Can wear TRUE black or white• Bright, Vivid, contrasting colors with blue

undertones• poor choice: Faded or muted colors, • Silver, white gold, platinum jewelry

WINTER• The Winter palette has the range of all dark, vivid, and bright colors.

• It also has all those very light icy colors.

• It holds all the primaries, being white, black, pure red, and navy.

• Winters do not wear most oranges well.

• Light-medium browns and some camel are not the best choice for Winters.

• No woman can wear a Pure White as beautifully

Summer

• Hints of pink in skin• Sunburn easily• Very blue eyes– May be green or hazel

• Ash to light blond, highlights

• Some color is missing from some of the palettes – black is missing from the Summer palette, because it’s not a

flattering color for Summers close to the face. • avoid harsh contrasts by keeping the entire look calm

and in complete harmony
