GRANDPARENTS' AND SPECIAL FRIENDS' DAY

Our Grandparents' & Special Friends' Day celebrations will be held next week.  If yourchild's special friend has not yet registered to attend, please have them do so byMonday, April 20, either  online  or by returning the registration form found on theinvitation.  Copies of the invitations for all campuses are available in the school office,or on the CCLS website.

We encourage elementary and middle school students and their special friends tospend lunch-time together, either off-campus, or with a complimentary lunch forspecial friends in the cafeteria.   Please be sure to note lunch plans on the eventregistration.

There will be an ice cream social following theelementary operetta, " The Good News Cruise"on  Thursday, April 23.  There will be a freewilloffering.  Proceeds will benefit our "author fund" andwill help us to finance the cost of the authors that weinvite each year.

Baseball season has begun, and it's time to look forward to our 2nd annual CCLS Dayat Busch Stadium!  This year's event will be held on Labor Day, Monday, September 7at 1:15pm.  Make your holiday-weekend plans around this special game where theCards take on the Cubs and our CCLS students sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game"during the 7th inning stretch!  More details and ticket purchase information will beemailed to CCLS families this summer.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the CCLS Middle School campus May 4th-6th! This is thesecond Book Fair of the school year. Each fall, we host a fair at the Elementary campus andeach spring, the fair comes to our Middle School campus. The spring fair is geared specifically

towards our preschool students - who will be visited byClifford! - and our middle school students, who will visitwith their Literature classes to make "Wish Lists". Wehope you will visit as well! The Book Fair will be held inthe Concordia Youth Room.

Volunteers are needed to set-up the fair on Sunday, May3rd from 12-2pm and to pack-up the fair onWednesday, May 6th from 12-2pm. Please visit oursign-up if you can help!

Culver's Fundraiser for Boy ScoutTroop 319, chartered at the LutheranChurch of Webster Gardens, onTuesday, April 21, 5-8 pm only at theBig Bend location in front of Sam'sClub. 10% of all proceeds (dine in,carry-out & drive thru) will bedonated to the Scouts. No flyerneeded. Have dinner with friends andfamily while supporting our Scouts.

"Frozen" Tea PartyJoin Youth In Action for the "Frozen" Tea Partyon April 25, 2015 for kids 4 and up!  Time: 11:00am-12:30pm Where:  Concordia Lutheran Church (505 S.Kirkwood Rd.) Come dressed as your favorite princess!  Costis $15 per person.   all proceeds benefitNurses for Newborns and our friends inUganda!   Activities include: crafts, coloring,door prizes, desserts, picture with a princess,story time.

LUTHERAN SOUTH BAND CONCERTSThe music department at Lutheran High School South announces its annual spring bandconcerts.      This is a great opportunity to hear terrific music performed by some excellentyoung musicians.                                                                                                                          Friday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m.  is the annual Jazz Band Concert featuring the high school Jazz

Band.  This popular concert will be held in the Kuhlmann Center at Lutheran South where theaudience members are seated informally around tables. Please bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverage. Friday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m.  is the annual Spring Band Concert.  This event features LutheranSouth's Wind Symphony in addition to the high school Concert Band.  Also included will be theJunior Winds, a select band of the best Lutheran elementary school band members in the area.  This concert will be held in the Concordia Center at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood.

ALUMNI ACCOLADEEthan McGue, a senior at LHSS (CCLS class of2011), along with his teammate Joe Tortorellofrom LHSS,  won 1st place in Network Design atthe Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)state competition in Springfield, MO on April 14,2015.  Ethan and Joe placed first in their districtin St. Louis and then first in the state. Approximately 100 high school teams fromacross the state competed in this event.  Ethannow qualifies to attend and compete at the FBLANational Conference this summer in Chicago, IL.

CCLS CHARGERS BASKETBALL CAMP The CCLS Chargers athletic department will once again hostbasketball camps this summer!  The coach of our boys basketballteam, Coach Clint Adler, will be running the camps along withother coaches and current and alumni players.  Sign up today! You may CLICK HERE or visit our website under "News & Events"and then click the picture to register online.  The camp fee is$65, which includes a t-shirt.
