God has entered into history, into your life, into my life, through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, who re-mains with you and with me, personally, to the end of time. There is a stillness to the heart and the mind when we rec-ognize that fact and cherish it. - from Sacred Silence

Yerlin Carranza
My name is Yerlin Carranza, I was born in Honduras, but was raised in Grand Rap-ids, Michigan. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I remember going on Sundays to a chapel across the street from my grandma's house. At first it just started as me look-ing for an excuse to get out of the house on Sunday mornings. The one thing I re-member while back in Honduras; was seeing my first nativity play and feeling the want to understand more about the religion. I began a quest to learn more about God and brought myself to Sunday school. After we moved to the states in May of 1999, I wanted to continue my quest so I began visiting church more often. Usually when the doorbell rings and we see Jehovah's witnesses outside, we hide and ignore it or maybe it was just my parents that did that. I on the contrary was more than happy to let them in and hear what they had to say. I was disappointed when I asked what "Inri" meant and they had no idea. I also had talk with Mormons, but it did not call my attention. When I met my husband in 2010, I felt as though he had been placed in my life to save me from myself. I have been blessed with a wonderful man and I can only be forever grateful to my God. We began our lives together in Carson City and lived there for two years and in 2012 we moved to Fowler. We now have two beautiful boys, Dylan who is 3 1/2 and Diehgo who is 2 months old. Father Dennis was very welcoming when we baptized Dylan in 2013, I thank him for giving me the opportuni-
ty to be part of Most Holy and to be baptized also with my son Diehgo. Thanks as well to Tony Fuller, whom gave me my weekly chats and learned so much from. I have had many struggles in life that had me doubting and being close to God has given me strength to overcome them. I feel that my purpose is to bring my family closer to God. I believe in my heart that my duty as a daughter of God begins from the moment holy water gets poured on my head, and so my journey begins.
Daryl Hyland
Hello, my name is Daryl Hyland and I moved from Portland to Fowler in 2003. I married my wife, Lori in 2004. We have four children, Chandler, Carissa, Chloe and Carson. I never had a religious background while growing up but began attending MHT with Lori after we met. This year our daughter Chloe will receive her first communion and I felt that it was a perfect time for me to join RCIA and become one with the Catholic Church.
Amber Hetherington
My name is Amber Hetherington and I live in St. Johns and am attending col-lege studying accounting. Throughout the years, my family attended numer-ous Protestant churches and I espe-cially remember attending with my grandparents. My grandmother was my role model of faith. She was very giving, compassionate, prayed often, and inspired me to seek a personal relationship with Jesus. My boyfriend and I attended a few different parishes but felt the most at home here at MHT. We have been attending the 8:30 Mass for about two years. I love how friendly and welcoming everyone is here and I look forward to becoming Catholic during the Easter Vigil.
Easter Vigil Reception
Everyone is invited to a reception following the Easter Vigil Mass to welcome the newest members of our parish! There will be delicious desserts and drinks...all the things you need to celebrate after giving them up during Lent! Please join us at the Activity Center to celebrate the Lord's Resurrection!
