FAITH AND YOUR FAMILY –Celebrating Mary-January 1 is more than just New Year’s Day – it is a Holy Day on which we celebrate Mary as the Mother of God. On this day, we are reminded of the role that the Blessed Virgin played in the plan for our salvation. As we begin another year, we draw inspiration from the selfless love of Mary, who never hesitated to do the will of God. And we trust in her prayers to God for us, that we might, as the years pass, become more like her. Begin this new year by dedicating your family to Christ through Mary on this New Year’s Day: Pray the Glorious Mysteries of the rosary together. Attend Mass together. And talk together about how you want to enrich your spiritual lives in the coming year to grow closer to God and more like Christ through the example of Mary.

WE WISH EVERYONE

A HAPPY, HEALTHY

AND BLESSED NEW YEAR!

Our sympathy and promise of prayer to the family of Jack Messina Sr.

May he rest in peace.

Please pick up a flyer in the Church entrances to read more. December 28, 2014 - The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph-Today as we celebrate Holy Family Sunday, our society can learn a several things from the Scripture readings and by fol-lowing their model. In the readings we hear of the faith of Abra-ham and Sarah for as in their old age conceived a son, Isaac. Through this act, God shows his love and faithful-ness. The family is therefore the sign of faith of human beings and of love of God. God is faithful to his promises; faith becomes the source of hope and happiness for his family. We should al-ways place our trust in God’s promises. Abraham believed God’s promises and put his faith in him and lived that in every phase of his life. This week we should remember the words of the Psalm “The Lord remembers His covenant forever.”
