What is CLC?
The Christian Life Community is an international association of Christians: men and women, adults and young people, of all social conditions, who want to follow Jesus Christ more closely and work with Him for the building of the Kingdom.
CLC History In 1563 a Jesuit teacher gathers a group of
students and the Marian Congregation is born Approved by Pope Gregory XIII in 1584 In 1773 the Sodalities become a normal work
of the church when the Jesuits are suppressed Pope Pius XII pushes for renewal and reform
and in 1953 approves the World Federation of Marian Congregations
In 1967 becomes Christian Life Community – a new name and a new beginning
Ignatian The charism and spirituality of CLC
are Ignatian The Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius Integration of Faith and Life The regular practice of the Ignatian
way of prayer, examen, evaluation and apostolic discernment

Meeting Format Check-in: Begin with a check-in (how we are or our
"feeling state" coming into the meeting) Prayer: Move into prayer (scripture, music, reading,
silence) Faith-Sharing: Partake in faith-sharing (where have
we experienced God's presence/love since last time) Second Round or Meeting Topic: Follow-up to
faith sharing or discussion of the main topic or do the planned activity
Review of Meeting: Evaluate the meeting (what was helpful, what might we do differently; where is God calling us)
Prayer: End with a brief prayer. Social
