Our Appreciation We are grateful to the family of

the late William Morris, noted figure in the theatrical field, for their gen­erous gift to make possible the es­tablishment of a memorial on the Plaque in our Temple Sanctuary. This name plate was dedicated on Sunday morning, November 2nd in the pres­ence of a large gathering of his fa­mily and friends, by the Jewish Theatrical Guild.

Youth Division The Rodeph Sholom League will

hold a dance in the Marcus Loew Auditorium on Saturday evening, November 22nd. Harry Muller, ever popular with League members, will again provide the music. Admission will be $1.50.

The first of the Aaron Wise So­ciety "College Nights" will honor New York University by a "Beat Fordham Rally" at the regular Wed­nesday evening supper meeting on November 26th at 5 :30 P.M. Fred Bauer, in charge of the committee, has promised a social hour to follow the meeting and rally.

Boy Scout Troop 502 This troop which is sponsored by

the Men's Association of our Temple, has received the President's Standard Award for the second time. When our Troop received this award last year, it was the first time that a troop received this symbol of achievement during the first year of its existence. Thus another record has been broken, for it is the first time also that a young troop has received the Presi­dent's Standard Award two years in

This Friday Evening, November 21st, at 8 :15, Rev. Donald Harring­ton, associated with Rev. Dr. John Haynes Holmes in the ministry of the Community Church will preach on "Cry Loudly, Soldiers of Peace." (Last week, through an error in the "Chronicle," Rev. Harrington was an­nounced for Nov. 14th; instead, Rab­bi Soltes was the preacher on 'Fa­ther and the Angels;' Life with a Jewish Father" ). - Sunday morning Dr. Marynia F. Farnham, co-author with Ferdinand Lundberg of the high­ly significant book "Modern Woman -The Lost Sex" will discuss the theme of this volume, written ques­tions from the congregation to fol­low the discourse.-Sunday morning, December 7th, Mr. Leland Stowe will speak on "The Soviet-American Crisis and Its Meaning."

Levine, the pediatrician and author will speak on "The Pre-School Child ; Emotional Fac­tors Affecting Development."- Tues­day, December 2nd is Jewish Day at the New Yo·rk State Commission for the Blind Annual Sale of articles made by blind workers at 535 Fifth Avenue (1 East 44th Street), New York .
