Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish and ShrineThe Feast of St. Lucy

Thurs., Dec. 13, 2018, 7:30 p.m. Mass followed by the traditional blessing of the eyes. Everyone is welcome to come and venerate and pay homage to St. Lucy, martyr and one of the earliest saints to gain popularity. She is the patron saint for eye diseases, blindness and throat infections.

Mon., Dec. 24, 2018, 11:30 p.m. Come celebrate Christmas with a traditional midnight mass. The choir will begin with a concert of Christmas carols at 11:30 p.m. and mass will begin with a candlelight procession of the infant Jesus at midnight. At the conclusion of the mass, the priests will return to the altar for the traditional veneration of the infant Jesus. There will also be a mass in English at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and for those who would rather attend mass on Christmas morning, there will be an Italian mass at 10:30 a.m. and an English mass at noon.Mon., Dec. 17, 2018 and Mon., Jan. 21, 2019, 7 p.m. Monthly prayer session. Rest in His Arms Do you like to sew?

Rest in His Arms is hosting sewing workshops where you can learn to recreate wedding dresses into beautiful burial garments called "angel gowns." These angel gowns are given to grieving families when a newborn is not able to be carried home due to miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death. We will show you how it's done and provide time for working on them. Unfinished projects can be taken home to complete. Wedding dresses, patterns and samples will be provided.
