families; 500 are needed!

• Over 500 children in AR are waiting to be adopted

The Children: • 70% of the children in foster

care in Pulaski County are African-American

• Largest age group? (1) 6-11 yrs old; (2) 0-6 yrs old; (3) 12-15 yrs old; (4) over 15 yrs old

State agency with 600 children who need foster families in Pulaski County alone.

The CALL - Recruits - Trains - Supports In church-friendly ways

Churches with families called to care for the local “orphans”.

The CALL in partnership with DCFS:

• Streamlines the certification process

• More convenient training schedule

• Responds quickly

• Provides Christian trainers and support

• Connects families with one another for encouragement and support

The CALL: • Provides monthly Info Meetings for

those interested • 3 Support Groups meetings held

each month in partner churches • 2 CALL Malls providing free

clothing for foster children • CALL Pantry providing free child-

friendly snacks and toys
