Did you know much about the book before

taking on the role in the film?

The book was bigger in America, but I read thebook when I went to there to do the screen test for

    the twin role.

How long did the film take to shoot?

It was quite long, almost four months in total, due

to having to shoot some scenes twice, but we did

quick changes as it was important for the twins to

visually look different, to know which is which. It

    was great fun to do.

How was it acting with CGI creatures?

I knew what to expect from previous roles, acting

to a blue ping-pong ball and cardboard cut outs.

For the fight scenes there were a lot of men in

black physically dragging me to try to make it lookrealistic!

Did you ever get confused playing twins?

I worked out beforehand how they had grown

apart. They were genetically the same but different

changes and situations had affected them so no,

    I didnt get confused.

Did you meet many of the other actors?

I never met Martin Short but I met Nick Nolte. He

had a really powerful presence, and if you look into

his characters eyes there is something evil inside.

Was it fun shooting in Canada?

The film was shot in Montreal for four months then

a bit in Los Angeles a month later. It was good

shooting there, but pretty cold. But I could practice

    my French

How does being a film star affect your normal

    life?

When not filming I go to a normal school in

London. We have a tutor who comes out and I

communicate with my school and they send outmy work to do, and I chat to my friends also.

How did you find having to have an American

    accent for the part?

I had a voice coach in Montreal, and he was
